Description
One of my favorite pieces of sleepy peril art I commissioned in 2012. It was drawn, inked and colored by MatiasSoto - who did a terrific job!

It's no surprise that I absolutely adore Storm in her white '90ies uniform from the animated series, so when I saw this beautiful piece of Storm in his own gallery I knew I had to commission him to draw this scene in his own style.

This is my favorite costume for her by far. The white just makes her so pure. As you can see in my gallery- i'm a big fan of the villain & heroine dynamic between Sauron and Storm. This commission is loosely based on the scene from X-Men the Animated Series S03E08 where Sauron knocks Storm out and kidnaps her to the Savage Land. There's a brief moment where he walks in to the Savage Land citadel with Storm unconscious, cradled in his arm. We only see it from very far away, unfortunately..



In this piece Sauron has fought Storm in battle. Her costume is a little shredded on the legs. Sauron has won this fight.. clearly.. and is now absorbing her mutant energy by touching her skin on the legs and her limp hand- in order to sustain remaining in his Sauron lifeform. I really LOVE how this one turned out. Very sinister

In the animated series Sauron always had to absorb Storm's energy, which made their dynamic very interesting. This storyline originated from the 1978 comic:
