Description
Fresh gorgeous piece of art I commissioned from the very talented CuttleSquid . When I say fresh.. I mean FRESH! I requested a final mod (have the gloves changed for regular skin) but couldn't wait to share this with everybody already as I'm very happy with the way it turned out.The commission is loosely based on the "Savage Land, Strange Heart" story-arc from X-Men S03E08 and S03E09 in which Sauron abducts Storm to the Savage Land. The moment portrayed in this commission could have either happened in the first episode after he hypnotized her to sleep:
Or in the next episode after he drains her energy and she falls unconscious again..
As many of you know Storm is and remains one of my favorite superheroines and Sauron one of my favorite villains in this pairing. He's naturally drawn to her, and needs to feed off her which creates an interesting dynamic. Their story goes all the way back to Uncanny X-Men 114 and 115 in which he absorbed her energy too:
The pose in which Sauron holds the limp and unconscious Storm was taken from an old sleeping-beauties clip and all credit goes to CuttleSquid - It was great to collab with him on this and he had a lot of great insights to make it better. Anyway I hope you guys like it!
