A small suggestion, consider darkening the few white specks that stand out on the wall beside the doorframe, the back wall of the landing, the bottom stair, the stair wall, and the floor. These spots draw the viewer’s eye away from the girl and the darkness behind her and move the viewer’s attention to surfaces that are not to focus of the photograph.
