Description Bluebells in Crawley Wood, Ashridge, Hertfordshire. A slightly different wood from the one I normally take my bluebell pictures in (about half a mile up the road and less popular than Dockey Wood). I could actually park my car there!

Lovely colours - I missed the bluebells this year unfortunately.

There was a good display this year, and for once the leaves on the trees were coming out too at the same time.

I rather like them, and I don't have to go too far to get to them either

Cheers I've made so many visits to these woods over the last few weeks just for the scent and colours alone

Many thanks for the too!

This looks artificial in a too-pretty-to-not-be-enhanced kind of way, though I know it isn't. The trees are a totally different color than last year's! This is very nice indeed. You are lucky to have access to such nice natureness.

Only a tiny bit of enhancement on this one - I deepened the contrast to bring the leaf detail up a bit as originally they were just a mass of green, then upped the saturation by about 2% to bring the colours back to where they were before messing with the contrast, and that was it

It's one of the reasons that I try and visit these woods at bluebell time every year, as every year it's different. Sometimes the bluebells come out before the leaves, other times the leaves have started to lose their fresh green before the bluebells show, This year they came out both together I also caught it with the evening sun behind me too.

I'm quite lucky where I live, to the east is the forest, to the south are hills, to the north is heathland and to the west is a river valley. Ta for the again

Its hard to beat this time of year, especially on a sunny day surrounded by fragrant bluebells.

Indeed I've made a few visits this last couple of weeks, just to enjoy being in the woods amidst that fragrance

It's been a good show this year, and for once the leaves of the trees are out at the same time as the bluebells!

Cheers for the
