Being a good Metal Slug fan means acknowledging the good, the bad, and the weird in every game in the series. Yes, even the best Metal Slug game has its quirks.

I do know that the Metal Slug series has been known to be very cartoonish, but the lack of proper spacesuits in Metal Slug 3 can sometimes be a little weird in my taste. When I first saw the promotional images for the Metal Slug Type-A pachinko machine (particularly in this page: [link] ), the idea hit me:

If you can do deep diver suits in Metal Slug, then why not do proper spacesuit designs, too?

Here are some design drawings I did for what would be proper spacesuits in the Metal Slug world. The basic design has elements inspired by the spacesuits from Star Trek: First Contact.
The Rebel version's design is based on Zeon spacesuits (from Mobile Suit Gundam), since Morden's army, like Zeon, is somewhat Nazi-like too.
