Magic in the palm of my hand...but those hands need some lotion!!!!!

This was the first official sculpt that I did this year- and at the time it was unbeknown to me that it is- according to the Chinese calendar- the Year of the Pig!

This is Ferrin the Poggle! Poggles are also known simply as "pig faeries" as opposed to "faerie pigs"- and yes there is a huge difference! It is said that they represent the very realization of the impossible and that all things have their season- thus proving that nothing is impossible. The first poggle was born when first the phrase, "When pigs fly!" was uttered.

When Ferrin was just a baby, he was nearly devoured by a hungry serpent, but Purddy Falterfoot came upon the then even tinnier poggle and rescued him. Ever since that day, they have been inseparable companions and the best of friends- each willing to do anything for the other, neither ever judging the other.
