Yes. He looks gay. This is mesh propaganda for Namco to reveal the truth in Tekken 5 that Hwoarang & Jin really are a couple (it's obvious, look at the eyes in Hwo's t4 ending! it's all in the EYES!) ..... ahh sidetracked! Sorry!I figured mesh would suit him. So I made a grid out of hundreds of lines, rotated, and got busy with the dodge and burn following lines of the arm muscles I'd already drawn out underneath. I wish I could warp it 3D wise, and make it look real, but haven't got a clue.... It's only mouse in photoshop for petesake
Yup, I need to get out the house more..... but this was fun, for all the long hours across the several days it lasted. My aim with this was more control that the previous Hwo. And a more realistic representation of his character. And cooler hair.
So I just went for it.
And, I can already see all the problems in it. I could have sat around smudging this about and trying to make it perfect for another year, but that would just be insane. I'm happy.
I have learnt muchos over the last month, that outlines suck for me, and it's all about lighting.
Jin & Julia next on the agenda.

OMGGGGGGGGG I got this picture as a Google image results YEARS ago, and fell in love with it. And all this time later I found the artist on deviant art by typing in Hwoarang! *delighted*
WELL I think it's brilliant. I love your depiction of Hwoarang. And yup, I have thought the Jin&Hwoarang thing before too 
I have been playing the Tekken series since I was four (obviously not NONSTOP, haha, but in a roundabout way) so it's a really special series to me.

I really, really like the way you've textured his clothes and hair. It looks really realistic that way. His face looks more realistic than the game version. Strangely/Coincidentally enough, he looks like one of those Korean movie stars I see on teevee. o.O;
