Yeah they are, it seems like they never want to sit still long enough to get a good photo and when they are laying down it's usually in some shady spot where you can barely see them. Part of the reason I go to the zoo in the afternoons before or after class is that the kids are still in school and the zoo is free, so I can take my leasurely time wandering about.

I think the lions are 1 of the hardest things to capture.I went to the zoo in Melbourne,Australia and Didn't get 1 photo of the sneaky buggers. Doesn't help you need to fight for a spot to see em, although being 6'2 helps a little lol

lol I do that too. I just cut and paste and hide the original message i'm sneaky..

Yeah I think timing is everything, avoiding peek times is a good idea. when I go back I will have to plan better methinks

oh I know right? Trying to take photos with a bunch of school groups running a muck is just too much lol.

Its funny the problem I had was when ever I lifted the camera up to take a photo, I was literally pushed out of the way from groups of tourists! and they came from nowhere it was starting to get creepy like they were watching me lol
