Thank you  The original wood texture as I photographed it came without the map. Processed it in HDR from multiple exposures to enhance the contrasts then used a plain coloured vector map to blend it in with. It's the shades from the wood texture that turned the plain map colours into different variations of green and blue.

That's what I was aiming for, so I appreciate it Vectors much easier to blend with photo textures because vectors typically come in plain colours, it's how I worked up the courage to blend more complex photos together. Gives me an idea actually to perhaps blend some abstract acrylic or watercolour textures with the wood for even more depth
