Well pretty much any older Deadpool appearances have him with the black square detail pointing up, with grey gloves and present has a different design that has red gloves. Really it matters the year for any X-man, he even had booties then in the late 90's he finally got shoes. Out with the Robin footwear in with the Manly scooter driving shoe.

Oh, gotcha. I actually looked at a bunch of different drawings of him for refference and I was always a little bit confused by certain areas, like the design of his upper body and on his legs. I also couldn't find any pictures of him showing his back. I don't have any of those comics that's why I wasn't sure what I did.

No that's fine, it really looking wonderful, the past is something that makes work better or worse it matters who's past. With today's design he has some slack in his mask, but in the 90's it was all just rounding off his head. Personally I like the slack, but I'd still keep the design of the past where the black points up like you did. I'm an uber-fan there isn't many issues I don't own of him and his misadventures. If I had to say what issue to read it would be #66 or read the firs mini series, very funny, amazing plot and great Art.

I like the one with the ninja, but, I feel Deadpool would stick him in the butt.

That would have been funny. On top of figuring out the physical look of the character, with Deadpool half of making him work is nailing his gestures and personality.

Oh, totally. Mostly because his face is covered up. I think someone, like yourself, can really sell a character like Deadpool because you are really great at gesture.
