Okay...okay....
I chose this title because this is the battle theme for the Greil Mercenaries in Radiant Dawn; The Devoted. There's really no relation to the image, I guess. I just want a nice title xD "Oscar Strikes" is too basic.

Oscar. Former knight of Crimea. We know him for his squinty eyes and cooking skills. This time, I wanted to draw his eyes opened. Believe me, it's quite scary to see his eyes in this action o.O But interesting...

Yes, it was MEANT to be just A4. The original picture shows the arm drawing back and somehow that didn't right when I relined it on Photoshop. So, I changed his arm position. "Hey, why not draw the rest of his arm?" So...I expanded everything and the next thing I knew was, the horse came to play.

Oh god, the horse. I certainly know that Oscar's horse is out of shape around the back. IT WAS A PAIN T_T Oscar's leg took a while to do as he was sitting on the horse.
There was loads of reference from the movie, the leg position when sitting on the horse. And the Steel Lance is wonky Dx

Looking at the way Oscar is sitting on the horse kinda looks painful. But I did try sitting like him...it was indeed awkward.
It was quite hard to reference the horse it was only viewed properly in the 'Execution' movie. There are certainly a lot of things I missed out from the horse and most likely wrong colours. Lucky I chose to do Oscar's white horse from Radiant Dawn. Why? The default background layer for this work is white. I just got lazy and sketched the outline of the horse.

There are some parts that isn't blended. Well, some are better without having to blend them xD

Oh yes, I wanted to add the lens flare effect on the top of the lance. "Lens flare filter could not complete as there is not enough memory (RAM)" Oh god.

With this much ranting, it was quite a mission and I did like painting this. Just NEVER NEVER attempt to draw something like this again! It took ages to save as there were 40+ layers.

Anyway...please enjoy ^^ This is the last photoshop project and it will be updated in my latest journal. I'm going to drink.
