very very carefully ,its also tennened with horn on the inside and a very good 2 part epoxy ,the horn cavity is/was never pierced so as to not compromise the strength of the materials.

looks tricky!! some Epoxys tend to expand Ive noticed when ive made staircases.
Ive bought a load of new burrs and tools and picked some Deer antler up and some buffalo horn for when i have time to carve
