Description
  She's had many names throughout the centuries, but she prefers to go by Caira (or at least that's what I'm calling her for now) She is the one who popped up in that ocean painting I posted recently. There's a lot of stuff I could tell you about her. But the big thing about her is that she is the Kraken originating from the Greenland Sea. Caira used to prey on some of the vikings before moving South to find some warmer waters and new experiences. She has moved around the Atlantic Ocean throughout the centuries but currently enjoys hanging around Paraiso and picking off ships that wander by. She, like most mermaids (caecilias, whatever ), can work up quite an appetite, but most days you'll probably find her sleeping on the sea floor. So it's best to be careful where you drop your anchor.

   While Caira was in the Greenland sea she was famous for the great harvest of fish she would bring fisherman. Yea, that's right. She doesn't kill everyone. In fact, she's kinda nice sometimes. She is just a bit sinister as well. Anyways, Sailors often risked their lives to fish over where the Kraken was feeding because of the bountiful harvests of fish. Caira was fond of the fisherman and let them pass, usually... Someone had to live to tell the tales of sea monsters right?

Caira is pretty big. I think she's roughly 400-450 feet long including her tentacles. But that may change. She can take down most vessels that travel by sail, but modern ships prove more of a challenge. While she's big, she's certainly not the biggest fish in the sea (maybe because she's not a fish.. haha) . More on that later

As I mentioned, she spends a lot of her time slumbering in the deep. I mean, if you're going to live forever what else would you do? Plus, it gets tiring being the kraken. So combine that with a smidge of laziness and a love of naps and you get a heavy napper. But Caira is very active when not napping. She often patrols the shores of Paraiso in search of food and fun. Many fish will often accompany her in her travels hoping to be fed by her leftovers.

So yea, there's a few details on Caira. I hope you like her design. She's a lot of fun to draw Hopefully there will be more of her coming soon. She needs some fun hobbies besides sleeping.
