Description So, this is my entry for the #DisneyDreamers second project "Try Something New" where you have to...well, try something new XD

I always do photoshop coloring after I ink stuff, and have NEVER tried to color something like this with watercolors. It was actually better than I expected, and it was actually really fun! I don't have much detail involved, but it's the best I can do for a semi-first try with watercolors I see lots of mess ups, but...I don't mind XD I had to change the contrast a lil bit, because I actually took a picture of this (my scanner is not working...hasn't been for about a year XD).

Her tiara is gold colored embossing paper I had lying around, and it looks better in real life than in this picture but not TOO much different.

I wanted to make the edges stand out more (and kind of take away from the lameness that are my metallic sharpie stars XD), so I added some glitterness from a brush by ObsidianDawn. Otherwise...all totally done a la Ren (me).

I WANT to have enough time to try and make an actual tiara from metal. My friend is majoring in metalsmithing, and told me she'd show me how, but I don't think we have the time, nor do I have the resources to go it on my own XD (not to mention no metal :0 )

I might not get to it in time, but...at least I did something else new to me!

This is lovely! Have you used watercolors on other types of projects? I wouldn't believe you if you say you haven't. The foil is a nice touch. I like all the little swirlies, too.

Another option you could use for a metallic feel could be Rub n' Buff. It's a paint type thing, though. It might not what you're looking for.

I think Rub n' Buff is mostly used for crafts, like picture frames. I'm not sure how it would look on paper, but it could be worth trying. I love to do craft projects, but I don't know much about traditional "art" media either. Right now I'm using it for a costume armor project, and it's so lovely.

I really haven't XD at least not on actual drawings like this. Thank you
I've never heard of Rub n' Buff, but I want to look into it! I'm not familiar with any art media other than computer stuff, so thanks for the suggestion!
