~urbanwolf 's mother is ill with cancer. She put out a request for artists to draw crowns, so she could print them out and cheer up her mother when she came home from the hospital. I can't draw, so I made this instead. I'm really sorry it took so long to find the time to make it, Urban Work and life have been keeping me so busy. But I didn't want to let it slip further away, so I stayed up late to make this tonight. It kind of shows, unfortunately. ): It's fairly uneven.

It was fun to make, though. ~Dragonfeelers sent me the sparkly gold Fimo because she didn't want it, and I thought it would be perfect for this. It's Fimo Soft, so I actually cured the whole thing around the base of a drinking glass, to help it keep its shape. That made it an extra challenge to make, since I was sculpting on a vertical surface, instead of a horizontal one. But it was fun.

That's supposed to be a cursive letter J on the front, Urban's mother's first initial. (Thanks ~Kaoshin for the tidbit!) Cursive lettering is a bit tough in Fimo. Particularly vertically. And the green blobs are supposed to be sort of like emeralds.

Hugs, Urban. My best wishes are with your mother for a speedy recovery. And with you, for having to endure such a difficult time. I can't imagine how hard it would be to see my own parents in such a situation.
