What if R-9 "R-Type", Fire Leo 04 from Thunderforce IV, D-117B "Axelay" and the world-famous Vic Viper combined forces to kick a Giant CoViD19's butt?Well, that was the idea behind this piece!
It was a submission to my local retrogaming store's art contest (results are still pending... heh ^^), and the subject was "Videogame heroes Vs the Coronavirus", and I was torn between doin' another TMNT artwork or something else. After days of sketching and fighting against my own artwork, I finally went the opposite way and took the path leading to this!
For once, I went for A4 paper (it was one of the submission's requirements), and I spent something like 10 to 12 hours on this, with my usual tools of the trade.
I litteraly ran my ass off to get this thing finished on time and scanned in an art-shop in my neighbourhood, fearing to be too late for the deadline, and less than an hour after I sent this through e-mail, the deadline got a one-week extension
