First I have to tell you: Your work for me is a real eye catcher.
I saw it and was immediately intrigued. This alone is amazing great idea is already great, and the implementation is you have succeeded very well in my opinion.
It has a great effect on me and I also love the color green.
The leaf is very well proportioned and perfectly illuminated. As the elf is just a bit to see the whole picture is really very interesting.
The background is nicely hidden, so that the blade and the elf is very good effect.
All in all a super wonderful photo manipulation.

What a great little idea! If I were to suggest one thing, it would be to work a little on the tone and shadowing of the peeking face - it's a little too bright (sunlight doesn't show through heads!) and the hair should be backlit (as sunlights does show through hair!).
Perhaps give her some antennae to really bring the faerie out?
