I didn't like this one much when I made it, but it's grown on me. It's got some nice textures and it's blue, which everyone seems to love. Take it if you want it, leave it if you don't.My only question: are the dark "stripes" in the middle too dark? I wasn't really sure.

Again, I'm surprised there aren't more comments here, it really is magnificent! I totally love blue backgrounds but I reckon if you'd done this is green or yellow or brown it would have looked like sunlight coming down through the leaves

This is really cool, in truth I like it much better than the one you got a DD on, but congrats on the DD either way, at least it helped me find your gallery.
I think that the dark stripes being that dark is actually a good thing, it gives good contrast but since it's monochromatic and the light is coming from a central source the contrast itself isn't too much.

Yeah, to be totally honest, I'm not a huge fan of the piece that I got a DD on, but I'm not complaining 
That's a good point about the contrast though. I'll keep that in mind when I make things in monochrome.

yes, I think the dark stripes are too dark. Maybe halfway between where they are now, and the other colour there? -ish...
It might also do from a little 3x3 kernel sharpening, to make it look like there's more detail in the texture. But if you overdo it it'll look like crap!
Thanks for sharing, it is in the queue for wallpaper on my 24"s (too detailed for my smaller laptop)

I lightened the stripes in the middle, and adjusted my sharpen a little bit, think it's any better now? If you want a lower res version for your laptop, I can put one up.
Also, me and my 22's are jealous of your 24's.
