--PLEASE DOWNLOAD FOR FULLVIEW--Art school project i did about a month ago.
The subject was "The Library". Silent, two pages tops.
Yea i know, two pages's a little short to make a visual story, so i went for something simple.
I guess many of you will get the reference to the Necronomicon here, even tho i made it look quite different. Kinda gave it my own design ( already appeared here [link] Told you you'd be seeing it again XD ).
The subject itself was real inspiring tho. Saw a lot of cool stuff on the day of the showing.
Also, i warmly invite you to take a look at one of my classmate's work [link] Real good job she did there.
As for mine, it could have been better but i'm happy with the way it turned out ^^

OMG, wow, that book was hungry...lol. Getting lost in a bad book has such meaning now. I wonder why the librarian can look at it and not get eaten..perhaps because she is old, has glasses or cant see it well so she is immune or is the owner of said book. Though who is really an owner of such a book...this comic really inspires me I must say. very chilling and well done.

The Librarian probably doesn't get eaten because the book just ate and will remain dormant a little while before striking again.

Actually, i wasn't going for Lovecraftian as much as i was going for an
hommage to the general legend of the Necronomicon. But the tentacles are pretty lovecraftians, so i'll give you that one XD Thanks

Wait...wasn't the Necronomicon first coined by a Lovecraftian writer and enthusiast? Or did Lovecraft write about it himself? I'm pretty sure the Lovecraft cult started it either way, but you are right. The legend of it has grown outside and beyond that mythos. Cool either way XD

No, originally the book was written by a madman called Abdul Alhazred.
The original title (which i forgot) was later translated by "Necronomicon". Its story grew and grew
until Lovecraft picked it up and turned it into the legend we know today.
Weither the book was ever real or not is unclear, but it's legend is older than the Lovecraftian one.
But yea, pretty cool either way.

En fait le livre démoniaque fait parti de la même famille que les bernards l'ermite, mais d'avantage apparenté évidement aux monstres tentaculaires. Nous avons là une authentique et excellente illustration de sa technique de chasse préférée, simple mais d'une efficacité qui suffit à nourrir ce prédateur jusqu'au contentement systématique !
Petit bravo pour cette double planche, beaucoup plus parlant que s'il y avait du texte !

Ils banalisent toutes les merveilles du règne animal, végétal et démoniaque.
Et je suis d'accord ^^ De toutes façon l'histoire n'aurait pas été la même dans ce cas.

Well it's an actual library i go to near my neighborhood.
The Royal Library of bruxelles. It's a real gold mine.
It looks like a small place but it's actually huge. I just didn't had it in me to
make sketches of the entire structure, so i settled for one of the small area.
