hey , guys

this one is a gift for my girlfriend. We're celebrating 1 year and 7 months of relationship. This manip/drawing represents how I saw the day I met her parents... with robots

It was a traditional party we celebrate here in Brazil in july. We were together for 2 months I guess. I wasn't (and will never ever be) ready for any of this parent-meeting stuff, actually I didn't even know she was at that party. I was talking with some friends and then BANG! she jumps on me from behind. We hung out a little and by 2am she insisted that I should meet her parents...

Boy, that shit was TERRIFYING.

Her father is cool and tho he's a bald, magnum-wielding, angry-looking, Clint Eastwood like Federal Cop (the most important police here in Brazil), we go along fine and all that (he's on the right). Her mother (on the left) is kind of an issue... sometimes she's ok, sometimes she acts like a total jerk

the concept is that these rusted robotic monsters are her parents and she is the pink lil robot holding hands with me (the strange, rusted fucked up robot). Don't ask me how the hell was she born from those two piles of scrap (with all due respect) , I don't know either.

Actually this was going to be another thing, but I suck at drawing humans in details, so I decided to draw robots instead.

The desert is a reference to where we live in. Brasilia (capital of Brazil) is a desert during half of the year, during the other half, it's all about deluge, torrential rain, tsunamis, torments and floods. Just kidding, but it rains a god damn lot from now to april.

actually I don't know how to classify this piece, It's kind of a Matte, so I guess it qualifies as a manip...anyway, the stocks:
