they just dont make images like this anymore. thank you.
i just started taking photography classes, and i can't wait to start using such ancient processess like lithography, if that's what it's called... and real sepia prints too.

Thanks! To be honest this was a photo I just took and there isn't really anything old about any of the processes involved. I just mimicked the effects.

Haven't seen anything from you in awhile. I can say this is certainly one of your best, in a long while. The stain looks great, by the way. ;D

Thanks! I did this a while back but was hesitant to post it because it looks so staged and contrived. I don't know, I guess the elements are all fine on their own but it doesn't please me overall. How typical is that?

You ever think that some things, in being so staged and contrived, are almost better that way? Anyways, personally, I think you should start seeking photography in other spots. Maybe if you focused in a different geographic location and on different subjects, you can find some new inspiration. In my opinion, you've had more fantastic macro bug shots...OF THE SAME GENERAL SPECIES...than any other photographer that comes to my mind.

Yeah, but then I'd have to leave the house. And really, who are we kidding? The funny thing is that many of the photos are of the same subjects. Call it a schtick. I'm not so much lacking inspiration as time these days. I just don't have enough time to work on new ideas, so I'm trying to find better ways to work with what I've got. You're not the first one to suggest that, though!
