James is my attempt at creating an isekai hero (A character transported from Earth to a fantasy world). I originally came up with the character as the main character of a smut piece I wrote but subsiquently lost when the harddrive I stored it on crashed. The characters and universe just seemed to continue to evolve and has grown to incorporate and semi-crossover elements and characters from other Isekai anime/manga series such as Overlord, That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime, Rising of the Shield Hero, Mushoku Tensei, In Another World with my Smartphone, and more. In a sense this world is kind of a Kingdom Hearts of the Isekai Genre in that numerous Isekai worlds exist in this one world in one way or another. He is a bit of a gary stu but then most Isekai protagonists are.

Backstory

Death & Reincarnation
James was an ordinary teenager living with a rather ordinary family in the United States. He had two loving parents and a younger brother. He was a self-proclaimed otaku, enjoying the Isekai genre of anime and manga but also enjoying other types of stories such as Girls und Panzer and various comedy animes. However his life took a turn...in that it suddenly ended. He suddenly found his spirit before the twin goddesses of Life and Death, Gaia and Mortia, the goddess of life admonishing her sister for accidentally killing James before it was his time. As penance, the two offer to reencarnate him in a fantasy world, giving him a ton of magic power (scoring an 80 on the power rankings of the new world: Mage Emperor level), boosting all of his stats as if he were being made into a character from an RPG, to maximum. He had a lot of leeway after all since otherwise the two goddesses would be on the hook for illegally killing a mortal before their time was up. He then found himself reincarnated into a body nearly identical to his original in a world foreign to his own.

The First Year
He found himself in the small Kingdom of Erodas, one of the many kingdoms within this fantasy world. Right away he found himself being attacked by a hostile wolf but was rescued by a team of women adventurers: the sisters Elle and Belle Cree and their companions Risty Songwind and Beatrice "Bea" Valkyir. The four helped escort him to the nearest town which happened to be the capitol of Erodas itself. From there he had to figure out how to earn some money, earning a job in the Adventurer's Guild kitchen, earning a reputation when he introduced the guild (and the world) to pizza and cheeseburgers. After getting some money he headed out to one of the neighboring towns where he would be able to really start to be an adventurer. In the town of Indell, he met Elaine Titus, the daughter of the local blacksmith and an apprentice blacksmith herself. Buying armor and a sword from her (deliberately buying a sword she considered sub-par even though he could afford a better one), he embarked on a quest to prove himself an adventurer. After a while he began to get the hang of the adventuer's lifestyle, but his shining moment came when he brought down a Cycloptian (a massive lumbering beast with one eye and a large maw that walked similarly to a gorilla) when the town's guard and local adventuer's couldn't. He also saved Elaine in the process, saving her from getting eaten. This caused Elaine to fall for him. He brought evidence of the kill back to Erodas where he was taken seriously as an adventurer. By the end of the month he had found himself traveling with the Cree sisters, Risty, and Bea. The team proved to be one of the strongest in the guild, with James proving to be the strongest of the group. It was around this time he caught the attention of the Holy Knights of Erodas. He also began to delve into magic tomes at this time, becoming a stronger spellcaster.

Roughly two months after first arriving in Erodas, James got an urgent letter from Elaine's father reporting that Elaine had been wounded and was suffering from a lethal poison. He arrived in time to cast a cure spell on her, healing her when conventional healing spells and alchemical potions had failed. This solidified Elaine's feelings for him and before that week was out, he had already gotten married to his first wife. Elaine traveled with him to Erodas and began learning some Fire and Earth magic of her own while getting a job at the Guild's in-house blacksmith. His relationships with his four teammates also began to deepen. A couple weeks later, he accidentally insulted one of the Holy Knights, Cadellos, the fiancé to 1st Princess Georgina "Georgie" Erodian, and was challenged to a test of strength in the arena. James managed to defeat Cadellos without even touching him when he started to cast a powerful spell that utilized no less than seven magic circles (Four was considered high) causing Cadellos to forfeit immediately in fear of his own life and to the astonishment of the crowd. This got James noticed by the whole kingdom, especially the King and his youngest daughter, 2nd Princess Elizabeth Erodian. From that point forward, Jason found himself a celebrity in Erodas for defeating Cadellos. He and Cadellos eventually resolved what had been a misunderstanding and became friends, Cadellos vowing to support his entry to the Holy Knights if he ever became interested. After the incident in the arena, James was invited to the home of the Castwellian family, a noble family, in the hopes that they could get him to marry their daughter (who was ten years older than him). James agreed to come out of courtesy. Mira Castwellian was not interested in what she perceived to be a haughty adventurer although she did enjoy stories of adventurers and their exploits. He managed to at least earn a return invitation after he told her one of the stories from Earth (He told her the Lion King) which interested her (she had a fondness for books and fairytales and had never heard the stories James had told her before).

During this time though, he came aware of something startling which concerned him. He heard rumors of something he'd seen in his world's Anime and Manga. He learned that the Great Tomb of Nazarick from his world's anime/manga series Overlord existed and that the name Ainz Ooal Gown, the main protagonist of the series, was real. Armed with in-depth knowledge of the universe he took a gamble and traveled alone to Nazerick and asked for an audience with Ainz Ooal Gown. He was met by the Pleiades Battle Maids (all disguised in masks although he called out their identities immediately) and was brought to the throne room of Nazarick where Lord Ainz sat. He then identified Ainz as Momonga, something that peaked Ainz's interest as it was a name very few knew. Ainz escorted James to a meeting room away from the rest of Nazarick where James explained all he knew of Ainz and vowed he would never raise a hand against Nazarick, at least not knowingly. Ainz was satisfied by this vow and the two exchanged pasts prior to their arrival in this world. As they conversed, they realized they hailed from alternate Earths, Ainz even hailing from at least a century into an alternate future from James's time. James promised to try and disuade people from bothering Ainz, Nazarick, and the Sorcerer Kingdom (which included E-Rantel village, albeit secretly). Ainz himself had no interest in world conquest, only using the infamy of his legend to live in peace while also masquerading as the adventurer Momon. Ainz then declared James an ally of Nazarick to the Floor Guardians (although he'd have Lupusregina Beta, one of the Pleiades, shadow him for a while, something James expected). After a while, James was given a ring of Nazarick, allowing him to come and go from the Tomb at his leisure. Ainz did inform him though that he was not the first "Earth-Born" to appear and that Ainz was aware of at least one other.

Six months after arriving in Erodas, Risty offered herself in marriage as payment to try and convince James to help her people, a tribal people that lived in the hills to the South-West of Erodas. They had been suffering attacks by a Necromancer. James and his companions would travel to the Songwind Village (Tribal names acted as surnames) where Princess Elizabeth was helping to purify the spirits of the recently fallen. While there, he confronted the Necromancer who, when she, The Necromancer, tried to steal his soul, she realized it had been anchored to his body by God tiered magic and that James was practically a high functioning flesh golem, nearly human but not quite. Only James learned this but was still forced to defeat the Necromancer, which he did by summoning Mortia, the goddess of Death to personally come and retrieve the souls that the Necromancer had stolen and then claiming the Necromancer's own once James had dispatched her. This led to a brief existential crisis in James but he was assuaged by both Mortia and Gaia who explained that it was all they could do but that he was, for all intents and purposes, human. James accepted this and would honor Risty's offering of herself to him and would marry her as well, making her his second wife.

Not long afterwards, Bea would offer herself in marriage to him, having harbored feelings for him since their first meeting although having hid them beneath an otherwise gruff exterior. James accepted her hand and she became his third wife. Two months after that, now eight months after arriving in Erodas, he received urgent summons from Lord Castwellian that Mira had been taken as hostage by a foreign rival. James and company chased down the kidnappers, James using the world's first firearm, a revolver he had fashioned with help from Elaine, to take down the lead kidnapper with a single shot to the head. This incident, coupled with regular visits with Mira that helped to deepen their relationship, led to Mira choosing him as her betrothed, Mira soon becoming his fourth wife. James, while truly loving his growing family, was starting to feel rather embarrassed, fearing that he was getting a reputation for being a playboy in having so many wives, two being the average in Erodas. The twins, Elle and Belle Cree, would soon ask for his hand, having also grown close to him. They became his fifth and sixth wives and the first time he'd have a wedding with two brides at once. Now at six wives, James quietly swore not to take anymore.

It was now nearly a year since his arriving in Erodas, ten months to the day. When James had first arrived, he had seen on a map that the unclaimed forests to the south of the Kingdom were called the "Great Forest of Jura" a place that stood out to him in his mind as having been from one of the isekai anime/manga series he had followed called "That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime." He initially dismissed this as coincidence but after having met Ainz Ooal Gown in Nazarick, he began to have growing suspicions that Jura held the characters from that series as well. When rumors began to circulate of a "monster kingdom" forming within the Forest of Jura, James volunteered to investigate alone. What he found confirmed his initial suspicions. He found the Monster Nation of Tempest led by the sentient slime, Rimuru Tempest. James met with Rimuru and confirmed their origins from other versions of Earth. James vowed to try and keep the Kingdom of Erodas from causing any harm to befall the newborn Monster Nation, to try and guide Erodas towards a peaceful coexistence, something Rimuru appreciated, welcoming James to return. James also mentioned to Rimuru that Ainz Ooal Gown was an Earth Born but Rimuru knew this and he and Ainz were in secret contact with one another. This would become the groundwork for what would become the 100 Yen Alliance but that would be at least a couple of years away.

The Second Year
James had now been in this fantasy world for a little over a year and had already married six women. He had formed a nice little side-business, making and selling some of Earth's inventions such as bicycles as well as earth foods such as pizza, cheeseburgers, and ice cream, making a nice profit teaching cooks and innkeepers to make the foods while also teaching local blacksmiths (including Elaine) to craft bicycles. He further made a profit by dictating some of the Earth made stories to Mira who wrote them down and then published them under an alias, publishing stories such as the Lion King (Published as "The King of Lions"), Star Wars ("The War Beneath the Stars", a sea epic), The Little Mermaid, the Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit), and various other stories and fairy tales from Earth. He once even was invited by the King to prepare several pizzas for a royal banquet which earned him some extra money. His marriage to Mira also came with a sizeable dowry and a house owned by the Castwellians with a large plot of open land to use as desired, moving into a mansion that he dubbed "Miles Manored" with his six wives.

Roughly a month into the second year, James was summoned in secret to the Castle where he learned that Princess Elizabeth had been abducted while on a mercy mission for the Church. A rival kingdom, the Kingdom of Illicia, the rivals of Erodas, had captured the Princess and were holding her in an Illician mountain fortress. The King offered James a Knighthood within the Holy Knights as well as great riches as a reward, as James was one of the most powerful in the Kingdom. James accepted and was immediately made one of the Erodian Holy Knights. He traveled with Princess Georgie, Cadellos, and several other Holy Knights as well as several Adventurerers and four of his wives (Elaine and Mira were considered non-combatants) and headed to rescue the Princess. However the battle that would have to take place would mean the deaths of hundreds, including many of the Holy Knights and potentially some of his wives. James summoned a lightning storm, directing the lightning to wipe out more than three-quarters of the Illician soldiers guarding the fortress. The Erodian forces were able to practically walk right into the Fortress, confronting the Illician General that had orchestrated the kidnapping, holding Elizabeth as hostage but James deftly maimed him with a shot through the shoulder from his revolver, allowing the General to be taken prisoner and taken back to Erodas. James's actions though earned the infatuation of the Princess who declared James the man she loved before the King and Court. The King immediately declared James to be Elizabeth's betrothed, to be married the day after her fifteenth birthday (legal marriage age is fifteen in Erodas). They would have to wait nearly half a year for their wedding though, but Elizabeth went ahead and started moving some of her belongings into Miles Manored, even beginning to sleep there in a "Virgin Room" (A guarded room set aside for a betrothed woman so that she can live with her fiancé before their wedding). During this time, James made good on his promise to Rimuru to try and forge relations with the Nation of Tempest, although it was a little rocky at first, they eventually began with some peaceful trading.

Three months after James and Elizabeth were finally married though, the drums of war began to sound. Illicia finally, after centuries of hostile actions, finally and openly declared war on Erodas, marching an army of roughly Fifty-Thousand Men on Erodas, leveling the town of Indell, slaughtering or enslaving its inhabitants. Elaine's family had since moved to the capitol but many of her friends were killed or enslaved in the attack. James was personally devastated by this attack as many of the people there had been some of the first people to welcome James to Erodas and the new world. His and Elaine's first home, even though it had been rented, was there too. James marched with the Erodian Army to confront the Illicians. When he arrived, in a vengeful fury he unleashed his full power, wiping out the entire Illician Army with a single spell, a spell referred to as a Megiddo Class Spell, which can wipe out tens of thousands of targets in a matter of minutes. James used a Lightning Storm Megiddo called Kyon Ti Rache, a spell far stronger than the one he had used at the mountain fortress to rescue Elizabeth. As the Illician Soldiers were slaughtered by the lightning strikes, he unknowingly absorbed their souls, conferring the strength of fifty thousand souls into him. He spared no-one, not even the General in charge of the attack. The moment the last Illician fell, James collapsed, slipping into a coma. At the same time, in the capital city, in the Cathedral, a holy relic known as the Bell of Aldis, tolled across the city, the bell only tolling at the birth of a new Demon Lord, a being of immeasurable strength and power (not to be confused with Daemons, actual unholy beings of the underworld). The unconscious James was brought back to his home where he would remain in a coma for a week.

The Demon Lord of Erodas & The Erodian Advancement
When James awoke, all of his stats had gone beyond "Maximum," reaching well above 100 to the point that conventional power measuring methods were insufficient. With his enhanced wisdom and intelligence, he realized that this development meant: increased international fear of Erodas. James was left with two choices: leave Erodas or remain and protect his home. James chose the latter but also knew he couldn't be relied upon solely to protect the kingdom. King Ricart offered the throne to him but James refused, not wanting that power. Instead James suggested he be allowed to help maximize Erodas's military and technological superiority, promising to advance Erodas's military by at least two centuries if not more. The King agreed, and gave James the full backing of the state to do so. James began what he referred to as a "Jumpstarted Industrial Revolution" but more commonly known as the "Erodian Advancement." He would spend the first few months helping Erodas establish the infrastructure they would need to create what he had in mind, advancing Erodian ore mining and metal refining processes by centuries. He further introduced Erodas to steam power, inventing the first steam engines and helping to construct the first railways to accelerate the process of transporting people and resources. The discovery of a gold mine in one of their coal mines also helped benefit the country, giving it a good influx of cash to help finance the advancement. He also focused on helping to construct the weapons and assembly plants that would help to build his inventions. His final non-military inventions were radio and telephone, making it possible for people to communicate at long ranges.

Once this was all in place, he invented an array of firearms ranging from semi-automatic rifles to machine guns, training members of the Erodian military to use guns as opposed to bows and arrows or swords and spears, although the army would still use bows for stealth operations and melee weapons for close quarters combat, although bayonets would be fixed onto the rifles. Once firearms were being mass produced, becoming the first industrially produced product in the world, and with the Erodian military training on these firearms, he expanded firearms production to the production of larger weapons such as cannons and explosives, within a month of inventing artillery cannons and instructing the first batch of soldiers how to operate them, the outer walls of the capital city were being lined with cannons, with artillery batteries and mortars being installed at key strategic points further in the city, some even dotting the exterior walls of the Royal Palace.

With that in place, James turned his attention towards the sky. Within a week, he had invented the first airplane in the world. By the second week, he had refined the design into a mass producible design, spending the first two months helping to train the first pilots of Erodas, among which was Mira who taken an immediate love of flying after her first flight, riding passenger with James in the prototype airplane, Mira quickly proving to be an ace pilot. By the time Erodas had adopted firearms and airplanes as part of their military, a little less than a year had passed. Erodas was rapidly advancing. James then introduced the world to the automobile, inventing cars and trucks that could be used to transport the men and supplies over the terrain. However the Erodian cars and airplanes didn't run on steam or gasoline or petrol. The former was still too new and difficult to use for cars and the latter two had not even been discovered/invented yet so he took advantage of the existence of Lacrimas, a crystalline substance made of pure mana that could be charged with electricity, using Lacrimas as large batteries to act as a fuel source for cars and airplanes. Steam powered generators would then be able to recharge the spent batteries, or a magic user familiar with lightning magic could recharge them. The first cars resembled carriages and large wagons of Earth's early 1900s with the engines being located underneath or in the back of the vehicle. With cars and trucks being produced for the military, primarily, James could now focus on the new cavalry of the Erodian military: Tanks.

James outright plagiarized the designs for the first tanks from his own world, inventing the LT1 "Renault" (A plagiarized FT-17 Light Tank from France), the MT1 "Panzer" (Panzer IV Ausf F1 from Germany), the TD1 "Stug" (StuG III Ausf. G from Germany), and the SPG1 "EssYuu" (SU-76 Assault Gun from Russia) to make up the first tanks of the world. Once the invention of those and the production of planes, cars, and tanks had gone into full swing, he began focusing on making sure the military was adequately trained. Erodas was largely landlocked with only one relatively small cape port that was easily defensible so a navy was unnecessary for the time being although he did plans for the world's first warship, based heavily upon the designs of the Japanese pre-Dreadnaught Battleship, Mikasa. By the end of two years, Erodas's military had indeed advanced by leaps and bounds, advancing several centuries in two years' time. James relinquished his war powers production authority from the King, letting the cogs of the industries he had established turn on their own. Being the owner and inventor of these industries, he earned a sizeable profit from their production. By the end of the two years, Erodas turned its attention outwards towards their enemy: Illicia.

The Illician War, although it had been on an unofficial ceasefire in the wake of the Demon's Feast Massacre (when James unleashed the Kyon Ti Rache Megiddo Spell on the Illician Army) as Illicia had been scared into retreat but weren't brave enough to surrender and had been cowardly enough to strike at Erodas in small attacks on villages and small towns, all of which were repelled by the Holy Knights. James then allowed rumors to circulate that he had left the kingdom. This was half-true as Erodas had begun more formalized relations with the Nation of Tempest, symbolizing their alliance with the construction of the first transnational railroad and James oversaw the construction of this railroad while also escaping to Jura to relax every so often. It was during this time that he would find and take on another Earth Born, one Rudeus Greyrat, as his Holy Squire and the two of them plus Ainz and Rimuru would form the 100 Yen Alliance but that's for another bio. Illicia took the bait that the Demon Lord had left the country, making it seem like Erodas was defenseless without their Demon Lord protector. When Illicia sent another army to attack, their army was decimated by the far more advanced Erodian Army, forcing the Illicians to retreat. The Erodian Army chased the survivors all the way back to Illicia City, where a short siege took place, Erodian forces breaching the city within half-a-day. They could've breached it sooner but orders were to wait for the main invading army to fully arrive, which they did as they were right behind the pursuing force. James had followed along as well to observe the fruits of his two years of effort but would ultimately join the fight as well, especially as the city walls were breached within an hour of the formal attack on the city beginning.

While in the city, James could sense the presence of another Earth-Born, hearing her singing an earth song, the Wayfaring Stranger. He quickly homed in on the source, finding the Earth-Born in the slave quarters of one of Illicia's corrupt nobles, but arriving too late to prevent her from dying from years of abuse. James would rescue her fellow slaves and give the girl, named Christine, a proper burial fit for a Princess. With the Illician War now over, James could focus his efforts on finding more Earth-Born with the 100 Yen Alliance while also caring for his family and eventually taking on the six surviving Illician Slave Children on as his Squires to help them adapt to life outside of slavery. He would also continue to invent in his spare time. As of 1220, five years after arriving in Erodas, James is now twenty years old and is expecting his first children, with both Mira and Elaine expecting. He has also managed to open a portal back to his world and was able to send a message through to his parents and brother, eventually able to bring them through for a while to reassure them that he was alive and to fill them in on his life in the Kingdom of Erodas, as well as to introduce his parents to their seven daughter-in-laws. He is unable to physically return to Earth due to the laws of nature but has been able to have some of his Earthly possessions brought over while also sending some Erodian items over such as clothing and souvenirs.

Personality and Traits
James is a sociable and friendly sort and although he initially will keep to the shadows in social environments (sometimes literally hiding within shadows), he'll warm up to a crowd. He tries to be polite, especially towards women which has caused some misunderstandings. When threatened or in battle though, he drops into a serious persona, able to instantly judge an opponent's strength and skill using a high level form of appraisal magic. He often holds back if he can perceive his opponents as being weaker than him (which is most of the time) and will hold back for so long as he perceives them to not be a threat to others, gladly letting them tire themselves against him. He is intelligent and cunning, largely due to his reincarnation which was a gift from the goddesses as part of their apology for accidentally killing him. His intelligence more than quadrupled after achieving the rank of Demon Lord.

James is quite humble, always addressing Kings and Titled Individuals by their titles and with respect. He acknowledges his own power but still sees himself further down the social ladder than he really is. He still bows to his father-in-law, King Ricart and has vowed to continue serving the crown once Prince Ricart II ascends the throne barring one condition, that the Crown not try and stray towards imperialism and conquer neighboring kingdoms, that all wars must be defensive or to come to the defense of an ally. James even addresses Ainz Ooal Gown as Lord Ainz and Rimuru as Rimuru-Sama, despite the other two viewing him as largely an equal.

Before becoming a Demon Lord, James had a lot of magic power, capable of unleashing very high level magic spells with very little effort. He favors lightning based magic which has helped earn him the nickname of The Thunder Demon. His most powerful spell, or at least the most powerful ever demonstrated so far is the Kyon Ti Rache Megiddo, which conjures a lightning storm that rapidly strikes every caster designated target within its area of effect, sparing only those the user chooses to spare. He is easily capable of flying on his own without assistance, and prefers observing a battle from high in the sky and has done so to help coordinate battles from overhead, using a radio to communicate with forces on the surface. He can teleport short or long distances as well. He's discovered he can place "Fast Travel Markers" to make teleportation easier but has only placed a few in Erodas. One at his home at Miles Manored, one at the city square, one at the Royal Castle, one at the city square of Tempest. He has been reluctant to do the same with Nazerick.

His friendship with Ainz Ooal Gown has been kept a secret as Ainz and Nazerick is very well feared by most in this world. When appearing with Ainz, James adopt the alias of a black armored warrior known as the Black Knight. He uses this alias to act independently so as to hide his identity and be able to act without implicating Erodas for any of his international actions. To help divert any suspicion away from him, he arranged it with Ainz to have Pandoras Actor impersonate his Black Knight persona for a public duel, forcing the "Knight" to retreat.

His friendship with Rimuru is more public and accepted as both are demon lords and both have the mutual goals of protecting their respective peoples. The fact that both are Earth-Born is the more secret common ground that helped them strengthen their bonds. Rimuru and Ainz have sometimes referred to James as the "American Otaku" for his being a fan of Japanese Anime and Manga while alive. He's quick to remind them that they're both characters in anime and manga in his world. His knowledge of the isekai genre has made it possible for him to help identify other "Earth-Born" or "Isekais" as most of the ones he's found save for one, have all been from different Isekai anime/mangas and one of his goals is to help find other Earth-Born and figure out how they're all appearing in this fantasy world, to if anything, prevent more reincarnated or transported individuals from appearing.

His relationship with his wives are perhaps his strongest, as he genuinely loves each of them but still sometimes has difficulty wrapping his head around being married to seven women. He admittedly enjoys having multiple wives and sharing a bed with them but has tried to avoid abusing that luxury, still fearing being known as a lothario. He gets along with each of them well, being able to relate over different common interests with them. He's somewhat tried to avoid siring children with his wives as he did not feel ready to become a father, but finally ended up conceiving with his first and fourth wives at the age of twenty.

Despite being married to the 2nd Princess, he is not in line for the throne and has openly and repeatedly denied any interest in the throne, wanting most of all to live a simple life with those he loves.

Notable Abilities
Sir. James has a massive arsenal of magic spells at his disposal but typically uses simple and uncomplicated spells that he can amplify in power as needed, seeing the need for complicated spells as unnecessary, preferring a simplicity is best doctrine. He will sometimes combine spells as needed, such as using a spell known as "Slick" which temporarily turns any solid surface into a frictionless surface, and then using a paralysis spell to disable anyone who falls upon it. However James has found himself favoring lightning based magic, earning a reputation as the "Thunder Demon." It is further made ironic given that he believes that he was struck by lightning in his world, leading to his death and reincarnation in this world.

Megiddo - Kyon Yi Rache
Sir. James's signature ultimate attack. It was this spell that Sir. James used to slaughter the Illician Army of some fifty thousand men that launched his evolution into becoming a Demon Lord. The spell functions as a massive targeted lightning strike. It targets every individual within its range of efficacy that the caster perceives as an enemy and then strikes them directly with a powerful bolt of lightning from storm clouds that form overhead as the spell is primed. The bolts don't all strike at once, but instead the "Blast front" as James has dubbed it, ripples outwardly across the targeted area, radiating away from the caster's position towards the far end of the spell's area of effect. Interestingly, those caught in the area of effect that are not marked as targets, are completely immune to the lightning. Several of the Illician's slaves and prisoners were caught well within the spell's range but were completely unharmed, even when some of them were in direct physical contact with the targets. The spell's name: Kyon Yi Rache, means "Kyon Yi's Revenge" in the Erodian language, referencing the old Wold religion's goddess of Thunder and Lightning, Kyon Yi. Sir. James has only ever used this spell once.

Internet
Perhaps James's most vital ability is an ability he gained upon becoming a Demon Lord that he's dubbed "Internet." It is an ability that enables him to mentally access a seemingly endless trove of knowledge and information in the blink of an eye. Using Internet, James was able to access information from his own world's history, allowing him to reproduce technology from his world. This ability proved vital to James in bringing about the Erodian Advancement, as it enabled him to access and comprehend the information he needed to bring about the many technological advancements needed to advance Erodas's technology by centuries within the span of two years. He was also able to access the blueprints and technical specs of machines and other inventions native to his world, enabling him to modify and adapt their existing, proven, designs for his own purposes. Internet IS limited however as he is only able to access information that was available and known at the time of his death in the real world. His access to knowledge from Isekaido is more limited to whatever has been printed in publically accessible books and tomes. Forgotten and hidden texts for instance are unknown to him. He has noted that his friend and fellow Demon Lord, Rimuru Tempest, possesses a similar, albeit more interactive ability called Raphael.

James is my attempt at creating an isekai hero (A character transported from Earth to a fantasy world). I originally came up with the character as the main character of a smut piece I wrote but subsiquently lost when the harddrive I stored it on crashed. The characters and universe just seemed to continue to evolve and has grown to incorporate and semi-crossover elements and characters from other Isekai anime/manga series such as Overlord, That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime, Rising of the Shield Hero, Mushoku Tensei, In Another World with my Smartphone, and more. In a sense this world is kind of a Kingdom Hearts of the Isekai Genre in that numerous Isekai worlds exist in this one world in one way or another. He is a bit of a gary stu but then most Isekai protagonists are.

Backstory

Death & Reincarnation
James was an ordinary teenager living with a rather ordinary family in the United States. He had two loving parents and a younger brother. He was a self-proclaimed otaku, enjoying the Isekai genre of anime and manga but also enjoying other types of stories such as Girls und Panzer and various comedy animes. However his life took a turn...in that it suddenly ended. He suddenly found his spirit before the twin goddesses of Life and Death, Gaia and Mortia, the goddess of life admonishing her sister for accidentally killing James before it was his time. As penance, the two offer to reencarnate him in a fantasy world, giving him a ton of magic power (scoring an 80 on the power rankings of the new world: Mage Emperor level), boosting all of his stats as if he were being made into a character from an RPG, to maximum. He had a lot of leeway after all since otherwise the two goddesses would be on the hook for illegally killing a mortal before their time was up. He then found himself reincarnated into a body nearly identical to his original in a world foreign to his own.

The First Year
He found himself in the small Kingdom of Erodas, one of the many kingdoms within this fantasy world. Right away he found himself being attacked by a hostile wolf but was rescued by a team of women adventurers: the sisters Elle and Belle Cree and their companions Risty Songwind and Beatrice "Bea" Valkyir. The four helped escort him to the nearest town which happened to be the capitol of Erodas itself. From there he had to figure out how to earn some money, earning a job in the Adventurer's Guild kitchen, earning a reputation when he introduced the guild (and the world) to pizza and cheeseburgers. After getting some money he headed out to one of the neighboring towns where he would be able to really start to be an adventurer. In the town of Indell, he met Elaine Titus, the daughter of the local blacksmith and an apprentice blacksmith herself. Buying armor and a sword from her (deliberately buying a sword she considered sub-par even though he could afford a better one), he embarked on a quest to prove himself an adventurer. After a while he began to get the hang of the adventuer's lifestyle, but his shining moment came when he brought down a Cycloptian (a massive lumbering beast with one eye and a large maw that walked similarly to a gorilla) when the town's guard and local adventuer's couldn't. He also saved Elaine in the process, saving her from getting eaten. This caused Elaine to fall for him. He brought evidence of the kill back to Erodas where he was taken seriously as an adventurer. By the end of the month he had found himself traveling with the Cree sisters, Risty, and Bea. The team proved to be one of the strongest in the guild, with James proving to be the strongest of the group. It was around this time he caught the attention of the Holy Knights of Erodas. He also began to delve into magic tomes at this time, becoming a stronger spellcaster.

Roughly two months after first arriving in Erodas, James got an urgent letter from Elaine's father reporting that Elaine had been wounded and was suffering from a lethal poison. He arrived in time to cast a cure spell on her, healing her when conventional healing spells and alchemical potions had failed. This solidified Elaine's feelings for him and before that week was out, he had already gotten married to his first wife. Elaine traveled with him to Erodas and began learning some Fire and Earth magic of her own while getting a job at the Guild's in-house blacksmith. His relationships with his four teammates also began to deepen. A couple weeks later, he accidentally insulted one of the Holy Knights, Cadellos, the fiancé to 1st Princess Georgina "Georgie" Erodian, and was challenged to a test of strength in the arena. James managed to defeat Cadellos without even touching him when he started to cast a powerful spell that utilized no less than seven magic circles (Four was considered high) causing Cadellos to forfeit immediately in fear of his own life and to the astonishment of the crowd. This got James noticed by the whole kingdom, especially the King and his youngest daughter, 2nd Princess Elizabeth Erodian. From that point forward, Jason found himself a celebrity in Erodas for defeating Cadellos. He and Cadellos eventually resolved what had been a misunderstanding and became friends, Cadellos vowing to support his entry to the Holy Knights if he ever became interested. After the incident in the arena, James was invited to the home of the Castwellian family, a noble family, in the hopes that they could get him to marry their daughter (who was ten years older than him). James agreed to come out of courtesy. Mira Castwellian was not interested in what she perceived to be a haughty adventurer although she did enjoy stories of adventurers and their exploits. He managed to at least earn a return invitation after he told her one of the stories from Earth (He told her the Lion King) which interested her (she had a fondness for books and fairytales and had never heard the stories James had told her before).

During this time though, he came aware of something startling which concerned him. He heard rumors of something he'd seen in his world's Anime and Manga. He learned that the Great Tomb of Nazarick from his world's anime/manga series Overlord existed and that the name Ainz Ooal Gown, the main protagonist of the series, was real. Armed with in-depth knowledge of the universe he took a gamble and traveled alone to Nazerick and asked for an audience with Ainz Ooal Gown. He was met by the Pleiades Battle Maids (all disguised in masks although he called out their identities immediately) and was brought to the throne room of Nazarick where Lord Ainz sat. He then identified Ainz as Momonga, something that peaked Ainz's interest as it was a name very few knew. Ainz escorted James to a meeting room away from the rest of Nazarick where James explained all he knew of Ainz and vowed he would never raise a hand against Nazarick, at least not knowingly. Ainz was satisfied by this vow and the two exchanged pasts prior to their arrival in this world. As they conversed, they realized they hailed from alternate Earths, Ainz even hailing from at least a century into an alternate future from James's time. James promised to try and disuade people from bothering Ainz, Nazarick, and the Sorcerer Kingdom (which included E-Rantel village, albeit secretly). Ainz himself had no interest in world conquest, only using the infamy of his legend to live in peace while also masquerading as the adventurer Momon. Ainz then declared James an ally of Nazarick to the Floor Guardians (although he'd have Lupusregina Beta, one of the Pleiades, shadow him for a while, something James expected). After a while, James was given a ring of Nazarick, allowing him to come and go from the Tomb at his leisure. Ainz did inform him though that he was not the first "Earth-Born" to appear and that Ainz was aware of at least one other.

Six months after arriving in Erodas, Risty offered herself in marriage as payment to try and convince James to help her people, a tribal people that lived in the hills to the South-West of Erodas. They had been suffering attacks by a Necromancer. James and his companions would travel to the Songwind Village (Tribal names acted as surnames) where Princess Elizabeth was helping to purify the spirits of the recently fallen. While there, he confronted the Necromancer who, when she, The Necromancer, tried to steal his soul, she realized it had been anchored to his body by God tiered magic and that James was practically a high functioning flesh golem, nearly human but not quite. Only James learned this but was still forced to defeat the Necromancer, which he did by summoning Mortia, the goddess of Death to personally come and retrieve the souls that the Necromancer had stolen and then claiming the Necromancer's own once James had dispatched her. This led to a brief existential crisis in James but he was assuaged by both Mortia and Gaia who explained that it was all they could do but that he was, for all intents and purposes, human. James accepted this and would honor Risty's offering of herself to him and would marry her as well, making her his second wife.

Not long afterwards, Bea would offer herself in marriage to him, having harbored feelings for him since their first meeting although having hid them beneath an otherwise gruff exterior. James accepted her hand and she became his third wife. Two months after that, now eight months after arriving in Erodas, he received urgent summons from Lord Castwellian that Mira had been taken as hostage by a foreign rival. James and company chased down the kidnappers, James using the world's first firearm, a revolver he had fashioned with help from Elaine, to take down the lead kidnapper with a single shot to the head. This incident, coupled with regular visits with Mira that helped to deepen their relationship, led to Mira choosing him as her betrothed, Mira soon becoming his fourth wife. James, while truly loving his growing family, was starting to feel rather embarrassed, fearing that he was getting a reputation for being a playboy in having so many wives, two being the average in Erodas. The twins, Elle and Belle Cree, would soon ask for his hand, having also grown close to him. They became his fifth and sixth wives and the first time he'd have a wedding with two brides at once. Now at six wives, James quietly swore not to take anymore.

It was now nearly a year since his arriving in Erodas, ten months to the day. When James had first arrived, he had seen on a map that the unclaimed forests to the south of the Kingdom were called the "Great Forest of Jura" a place that stood out to him in his mind as having been from one of the isekai anime/manga series he had followed called "That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime." He initially dismissed this as coincidence but after having met Ainz Ooal Gown in Nazarick, he began to have growing suspicions that Jura held the characters from that series as well. When rumors began to circulate of a "monster kingdom" forming within the Forest of Jura, James volunteered to investigate alone. What he found confirmed his initial suspicions. He found the Monster Nation of Tempest led by the sentient slime, Rimuru Tempest. James met with Rimuru and confirmed their origins from other versions of Earth. James vowed to try and keep the Kingdom of Erodas from causing any harm to befall the newborn Monster Nation, to try and guide Erodas towards a peaceful coexistence, something Rimuru appreciated, welcoming James to return. James also mentioned to Rimuru that Ainz Ooal Gown was an Earth Born but Rimuru knew this and he and Ainz were in secret contact with one another. This would become the groundwork for what would become the 100 Yen Alliance but that would be at least a couple of years away.

The Second Year
James had now been in this fantasy world for a little over a year and had already married six women. He had formed a nice little side-business, making and selling some of Earth's inventions such as bicycles as well as earth foods such as pizza, cheeseburgers, and ice cream, making a nice profit teaching cooks and innkeepers to make the foods while also teaching local blacksmiths (including Elaine) to craft bicycles. He further made a profit by dictating some of the Earth made stories to Mira who wrote them down and then published them under an alias, publishing stories such as the Lion King (Published as "The King of Lions"), Star Wars ("The War Beneath the Stars", a sea epic), The Little Mermaid, the Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit), and various other stories and fairy tales from Earth. He once even was invited by the King to prepare several pizzas for a royal banquet which earned him some extra money. His marriage to Mira also came with a sizeable dowry and a house owned by the Castwellians with a large plot of open land to use as desired, moving into a mansion that he dubbed "Miles Manored" with his six wives.

Roughly a month into the second year, James was summoned in secret to the Castle where he learned that Princess Elizabeth had been abducted while on a mercy mission for the Church. A rival kingdom, the Kingdom of Illicia, the rivals of Erodas, had captured the Princess and were holding her in an Illician mountain fortress. The King offered James a Knighthood within the Holy Knights as well as great riches as a reward, as James was one of the most powerful in the Kingdom. James accepted and was immediately made one of the Erodian Holy Knights. He traveled with Princess Georgie, Cadellos, and several other Holy Knights as well as several Adventurerers and four of his wives (Elaine and Mira were considered non-combatants) and headed to rescue the Princess. However the battle that would have to take place would mean the deaths of hundreds, including many of the Holy Knights and potentially some of his wives. James summoned a lightning storm, directing the lightning to wipe out more than three-quarters of the Illician soldiers guarding the fortress. The Erodian forces were able to practically walk right into the Fortress, confronting the Illician General that had orchestrated the kidnapping, holding Elizabeth as hostage but James deftly maimed him with a shot through the shoulder from his revolver, allowing the General to be taken prisoner and taken back to Erodas. James's actions though earned the infatuation of the Princess who declared James the man she loved before the King and Court. The King immediately declared James to be Elizabeth's betrothed, to be married the day after her fifteenth birthday (legal marriage age is fifteen in Erodas). They would have to wait nearly half a year for their wedding though, but Elizabeth went ahead and started moving some of her belongings into Miles Manored, even beginning to sleep there in a "Virgin Room" (A guarded room set aside for a betrothed woman so that she can live with her fiancé before their wedding). During this time, James made good on his promise to Rimuru to try and forge relations with the Nation of Tempest, although it was a little rocky at first, they eventually began with some peaceful trading.

Three months after James and Elizabeth were finally married though, the drums of war began to sound. Illicia finally, after centuries of hostile actions, finally and openly declared war on Erodas, marching an army of roughly Fifty-Thousand Men on Erodas, leveling the town of Indell, slaughtering or enslaving its inhabitants. Elaine's family had since moved to the capitol but many of her friends were killed or enslaved in the attack. James was personally devastated by this attack as many of the people there had been some of the first people to welcome James to Erodas and the new world. His and Elaine's first home, even though it had been rented, was there too. James marched with the Erodian Army to confront the Illicians. When he arrived, in a vengeful fury he unleashed his full power, wiping out the entire Illician Army with a single spell, a spell referred to as a Megiddo Class Spell, which can wipe out tens of thousands of targets in a matter of minutes. James used a Lightning Storm Megiddo called Kyon Ti Rache, a spell far stronger than the one he had used at the mountain fortress to rescue Elizabeth. As the Illician Soldiers were slaughtered by the lightning strikes, he unknowingly absorbed their souls, conferring the strength of fifty thousand souls into him. He spared no-one, not even the General in charge of the attack. The moment the last Illician fell, James collapsed, slipping into a coma. At the same time, in the capital city, in the Cathedral, a holy relic known as the Bell of Aldis, tolled across the city, the bell only tolling at the birth of a new Demon Lord, a being of immeasurable strength and power (not to be confused with Daemons, actual unholy beings of the underworld). The unconscious James was brought back to his home where he would remain in a coma for a week.

The Demon Lord of Erodas & The Erodian Advancement
When James awoke, all of his stats had gone beyond "Maximum," reaching well above 100 to the point that conventional power measuring methods were insufficient. With his enhanced wisdom and intelligence, he realized that this development meant: increased international fear of Erodas. James was left with two choices: leave Erodas or remain and protect his home. James chose the latter but also knew he couldn't be relied upon solely to protect the kingdom. King Ricart offered the throne to him but James refused, not wanting that power. Instead James suggested he be allowed to help maximize Erodas's military and technological superiority, promising to advance Erodas's military by at least two centuries if not more. The King agreed, and gave James the full backing of the state to do so. James began what he referred to as a "Jumpstarted Industrial Revolution" but more commonly known as the "Erodian Advancement." He would spend the first few months helping Erodas establish the infrastructure they would need to create what he had in mind, advancing Erodian ore mining and metal refining processes by centuries. He further introduced Erodas to steam power, inventing the first steam engines and helping to construct the first railways to accelerate the process of transporting people and resources. The discovery of a gold mine in one of their coal mines also helped benefit the country, giving it a good influx of cash to help finance the advancement. He also focused on helping to construct the weapons and assembly plants that would help to build his inventions. His final non-military inventions were radio and telephone, making it possible for people to communicate at long ranges.

Once this was all in place, he invented an array of firearms ranging from semi-automatic rifles to machine guns, training members of the Erodian military to use guns as opposed to bows and arrows or swords and spears, although the army would still use bows for stealth operations and melee weapons for close quarters combat, although bayonets would be fixed onto the rifles. Once firearms were being mass produced, becoming the first industrially produced product in the world, and with the Erodian military training on these firearms, he expanded firearms production to the production of larger weapons such as cannons and explosives, within a month of inventing artillery cannons and instructing the first batch of soldiers how to operate them, the outer walls of the capital city were being lined with cannons, with artillery batteries and mortars being installed at key strategic points further in the city, some even dotting the exterior walls of the Royal Palace.

With that in place, James turned his attention towards the sky. Within a week, he had invented the first airplane in the world. By the second week, he had refined the design into a mass producible design, spending the first two months helping to train the first pilots of Erodas, among which was Mira who taken an immediate love of flying after her first flight, riding passenger with James in the prototype airplane, Mira quickly proving to be an ace pilot. By the time Erodas had adopted firearms and airplanes as part of their military, a little less than a year had passed. Erodas was rapidly advancing. James then introduced the world to the automobile, inventing cars and trucks that could be used to transport the men and supplies over the terrain. However the Erodian cars and airplanes didn't run on steam or gasoline or petrol. The former was still too new and difficult to use for cars and the latter two had not even been discovered/invented yet so he took advantage of the existence of Lacrimas, a crystalline substance made of pure mana that could be charged with electricity, using Lacrimas as large batteries to act as a fuel source for cars and airplanes. Steam powered generators would then be able to recharge the spent batteries, or a magic user familiar with lightning magic could recharge them. The first cars resembled carriages and large wagons of Earth's early 1900s with the engines being located underneath or in the back of the vehicle. With cars and trucks being produced for the military, primarily, James could now focus on the new cavalry of the Erodian military: Tanks.

James outright plagiarized the designs for the first tanks from his own world, inventing the LT1 "Renault" (A plagiarized FT-17 Light Tank from France), the MT1 "Panzer" (Panzer IV Ausf F1 from Germany), the TD1 "Stug" (StuG III Ausf. G from Germany), and the SPG1 "EssYuu" (SU-76 Assault Gun from Russia) to make up the first tanks of the world. Once the invention of those and the production of planes, cars, and tanks had gone into full swing, he began focusing on making sure the military was adequately trained. Erodas was largely landlocked with only one relatively small cape port that was easily defensible so a navy was unnecessary for the time being although he did plans for the world's first warship, based heavily upon the designs of the Japanese pre-Dreadnaught Battleship, Mikasa. By the end of two years, Erodas's military had indeed advanced by leaps and bounds, advancing several centuries in two years' time. James relinquished his war powers production authority from the King, letting the cogs of the industries he had established turn on their own. Being the owner and inventor of these industries, he earned a sizeable profit from their production. By the end of the two years, Erodas turned its attention outwards towards their enemy: Illicia.

The Illician War, although it had been on an unofficial ceasefire in the wake of the Demon's Feast Massacre (when James unleashed the Kyon Ti Rache Megiddo Spell on the Illician Army) as Illicia had been scared into retreat but weren't brave enough to surrender and had been cowardly enough to strike at Erodas in small attacks on villages and small towns, all of which were repelled by the Holy Knights. James then allowed rumors to circulate that he had left the kingdom. This was half-true as Erodas had begun more formalized relations with the Nation of Tempest, symbolizing their alliance with the construction of the first transnational railroad and James oversaw the construction of this railroad while also escaping to Jura to relax every so often. It was during this time that he would find and take on another Earth Born, one Rudeus Greyrat, as his Holy Squire and the two of them plus Ainz and Rimuru would form the 100 Yen Alliance but that's for another bio. Illicia took the bait that the Demon Lord had left the country, making it seem like Erodas was defenseless without their Demon Lord protector. When Illicia sent another army to attack, their army was decimated by the far more advanced Erodian Army, forcing the Illicians to retreat. The Erodian Army chased the survivors all the way back to Illicia City, where a short siege took place, Erodian forces breaching the city within half-a-day. They could've breached it sooner but orders were to wait for the main invading army to fully arrive, which they did as they were right behind the pursuing force. James had followed along as well to observe the fruits of his two years of effort but would ultimately join the fight as well, especially as the city walls were breached within an hour of the formal attack on the city beginning.

While in the city, James could sense the presence of another Earth-Born, hearing her singing an earth song, the Wayfaring Stranger. He quickly homed in on the source, finding the Earth-Born in the slave quarters of one of Illicia's corrupt nobles, but arriving too late to prevent her from dying from years of abuse. James would rescue her fellow slaves and give the girl, named Christine, a proper burial fit for a Princess. With the Illician War now over, James could focus his efforts on finding more Earth-Born with the 100 Yen Alliance while also caring for his family and eventually taking on the six surviving Illician Slave Children on as his Squires to help them adapt to life outside of slavery. He would also continue to invent in his spare time. As of 1220, five years after arriving in Erodas, James is now twenty years old and is expecting his first children, with both Mira and Elaine expecting. He has also managed to open a portal back to his world and was able to send a message through to his parents and brother, eventually able to bring them through for a while to reassure them that he was alive and to fill them in on his life in the Kingdom of Erodas, as well as to introduce his parents to their seven daughter-in-laws. He is unable to physically return to Earth due to the laws of nature but has been able to have some of his Earthly possessions brought over while also sending some Erodian items over such as clothing and souvenirs.

Personality and Traits
James is a sociable and friendly sort and although he initially will keep to the shadows in social environments (sometimes literally hiding within shadows), he'll warm up to a crowd. He tries to be polite, especially towards women which has caused some misunderstandings. When threatened or in battle though, he drops into a serious persona, able to instantly judge an opponent's strength and skill using a high level form of appraisal magic. He often holds back if he can perceive his opponents as being weaker than him (which is most of the time) and will hold back for so long as he perceives them to not be a threat to others, gladly letting them tire themselves against him. He is intelligent and cunning, largely due to his reincarnation which was a gift from the goddesses as part of their apology for accidentally killing him. His intelligence more than quadrupled after achieving the rank of Demon Lord.

James is quite humble, always addressing Kings and Titled Individuals by their titles and with respect. He acknowledges his own power but still sees himself further down the social ladder than he really is. He still bows to his father-in-law, King Ricart and has vowed to continue serving the crown once Prince Ricart II ascends the throne barring one condition, that the Crown not try and stray towards imperialism and conquer neighboring kingdoms, that all wars must be defensive or to come to the defense of an ally. James even addresses Ainz Ooal Gown as Lord Ainz and Rimuru as Rimuru-Sama, despite the other two viewing him as largely an equal.

Before becoming a Demon Lord, James had a lot of magic power, capable of unleashing very high level magic spells with very little effort. He favors lightning based magic which has helped earn him the nickname of The Thunder Demon. His most powerful spell, or at least the most powerful ever demonstrated so far is the Kyon Ti Rache Megiddo, which conjures a lightning storm that rapidly strikes every caster designated target within its area of effect, sparing only those the user chooses to spare. He is easily capable of flying on his own without assistance, and prefers observing a battle from high in the sky and has done so to help coordinate battles from overhead, using a radio to communicate with forces on the surface. He can teleport short or long distances as well. He's discovered he can place "Fast Travel Markers" to make teleportation easier but has only placed a few in Erodas. One at his home at Miles Manored, one at the city square, one at the Royal Castle, one at the city square of Tempest. He has been reluctant to do the same with Nazerick.

His friendship with Ainz Ooal Gown has been kept a secret as Ainz and Nazerick is very well feared by most in this world. When appearing with Ainz, James adopt the alias of a black armored warrior known as the Black Knight. He uses this alias to act independently so as to hide his identity and be able to act without implicating Erodas for any of his international actions. To help divert any suspicion away from him, he arranged it with Ainz to have Pandoras Actor impersonate his Black Knight persona for a public duel, forcing the "Knight" to retreat.

His friendship with Rimuru is more public and accepted as both are demon lords and both have the mutual goals of protecting their respective peoples. The fact that both are Earth-Born is the more secret common ground that helped them strengthen their bonds. Rimuru and Ainz have sometimes referred to James as the "American Otaku" for his being a fan of Japanese Anime and Manga while alive. He's quick to remind them that they're both characters in anime and manga in his world. His knowledge of the isekai genre has made it possible for him to help identify other "Earth-Born" or "Isekais" as most of the ones he's found save for one, have all been from different Isekai anime/mangas and one of his goals is to help find other Earth-Born and figure out how they're all appearing in this fantasy world, to if anything, prevent more reincarnated or transported individuals from appearing.

His relationship with his wives are perhaps his strongest, as he genuinely loves each of them but still sometimes has difficulty wrapping his head around being married to seven women. He admittedly enjoys having multiple wives and sharing a bed with them but has tried to avoid abusing that luxury, still fearing being known as a lothario. He gets along with each of them well, being able to relate over different common interests with them. He's somewhat tried to avoid siring children with his wives as he did not feel ready to become a father, but finally ended up conceiving with his first and fourth wives at the age of twenty.

Despite being married to the 2nd Princess, he is not in line for the throne and has openly and repeatedly denied any interest in the throne, wanting most of all to live a simple life with those he loves.

Notable Abilities
Sir. James has a massive arsenal of magic spells at his disposal but typically uses simple and uncomplicated spells that he can amplify in power as needed, seeing the need for complicated spells as unnecessary, preferring a simplicity is best doctrine. He will sometimes combine spells as needed, such as using a spell known as "Slick" which temporarily turns any solid surface into a frictionless surface, and then using a paralysis spell to disable anyone who falls upon it. However James has found himself favoring lightning based magic, earning a reputation as the "Thunder Demon." It is further made ironic given that he believes that he was struck by lightning in his world, leading to his death and reincarnation in this world.

Megiddo - Kyon Yi Rache
Sir. James's signature ultimate attack. It was this spell that Sir. James used to slaughter the Illician Army of some fifty thousand men that launched his evolution into becoming a Demon Lord. The spell functions as a massive targeted lightning strike. It targets every individual within its range of efficacy that the caster perceives as an enemy and then strikes them directly with a powerful bolt of lightning from storm clouds that form overhead as the spell is primed. The bolts don't all strike at once, but instead the "Blast front" as James has dubbed it, ripples outwardly across the targeted area, radiating away from the caster's position towards the far end of the spell's area of effect. Interestingly, those caught in the area of effect that are not marked as targets, are completely immune to the lightning. Several of the Illician's slaves and prisoners were caught well within the spell's range but were completely unharmed, even when some of them were in direct physical contact with the targets. The spell's name: Kyon Yi Rache, means "Kyon Yi's Revenge" in the Erodian language, referencing the old Wold religion's goddess of Thunder and Lightning, Kyon Yi. Sir. James has only ever used this spell once.

Internet
Perhaps James's most vital ability is an ability he gained upon becoming a Demon Lord that he's dubbed "Internet." It is an ability that enables him to mentally access a seemingly endless trove of knowledge and information in the blink of an eye. Using Internet, James was able to access information from his own world's history, allowing him to reproduce technology from his world. This ability proved vital to James in bringing about the Erodian Advancement, as it enabled him to access and comprehend the information he needed to bring about the many technological advancements needed to advance Erodas's technology by centuries within the span of two years. He was also able to access the blueprints and technical specs of machines and other inventions native to his world, enabling him to modify and adapt their existing, proven, designs for his own purposes. Internet IS limited however as he is only able to access information that was available and known at the time of his death in the real world. His access to knowledge from Isekaido is more limited to whatever has been printed in publically accessible books and tomes. Forgotten and hidden texts for instance are unknown to him. He has noted that his friend and fellow Demon Lord, Rimuru Tempest, possesses a similar, albeit more interactive ability called Raphael.
