I think she's pretty cute like this o v o and basically just as attractive? I kind of see her the kind of person let go, especially between the other females in the series who seemed to be more aware of their diet. Plus, she used to be underweight in the first place so I actually think that at this point she's probably higher average. Which is a nice change, since Kishimoto sure enjoyed making the female characters underweight.

I could care less who gets together with who but it better make sense and not be force fed out of nowhere which is how almost every ship at the end is. Characters are just plopped together even if they have minimal interactions with each other. So yes it is retarded.Β

It's a pretty small village, different people interact with one another, that's life. The unexpected encounters, and unseen interactions. The person whom you avoided in high school could end up being the one you marry. Or the one you've been friends with for years, could end up being your hated enemy. Β That's life.

I honestly don't know why people make this such a big deal. If you think about it, it makes sense. She's not shown to have a very good diet for the most part, they're in a time of peace and by this point in the story, Anko would be pretty old and no where near as active so her metabolism would be much slower. Perhaps that much weight gain is a tad excessive but really, who cares? Its not like her character is ruined just because her appearance changed.

It's not her weight that bothers me, it's that she's being friendly with kids! Anko always struck me as the kind of person who would find joy in terrifying children, not being their role model.
