Description Suprise! My second custom figure! Now my Oshawott, Snivy and Tepig figures have a trainer now!!!

Remember when I said back on my Serena figure I said I'd be making a figure outta a extra Ash and Serena? Pokemon Serena Custom Accessories Here she is! (Hilda, eh? Is it Touko? Toko? Taco? Yes, I'll just go with Taco. )

It did take a long time (5 months? lol) I tried my best not to make it look too much like I used Tootsie Rolls to make it.

Speaking of Tootsie Rolls, Apoxie Sculpt is very difficult to sculpt with (OMG, the hair...)Β  ; it's like sculpting chewing gum with the smell of corn chips. I've probably mentioned that before, but I figured I need to reiterate it for whatever reason. =\

Paints are all done with a cheap paint set called Simply Acrylic (Neon Pink for the bag, Light Blue for the shorts, and Portrait Pink for the leg color). Not the best to use for figures since acrylic chips off, but if all I'm doing is displaying a figure, it's A-okay for me. Problem is I had to use many coats to get the desired look. There was no-gloss which was perfect for what I needed, and overall... it's freakin' cheap.

Another paint set I use is the Painters markers/pens. These you don't have to use many coats if you shake the pen good enough, and it doesn't chip off like acrylic paints do. Trouble with these is that if you can't find a fine point paint pen, you're outta luck since it's quite difficult to get into small cracks and crevices--UNLESS-- you blot some paint out onto a surface, and use a tooth pick to paint.

The bag I used is the same one I used for Serena, it's an Indiana Jones satchel, but I painted it a little brighter than Serena's bag to make it stand out more. I decided to have Serena keep the magenta-colored one and Taco the brighter pink one, as I feel it suits them both better that way.

Edit: Hat graphic is a sticker decal. I made the sticker with Avery sticker paper, the circle design was made in Photoshop, and I just printed it from there.

1. I saw this one video where the guy was struggling with the Apoxy stuff and he said to let it harden for 30 minutes before using it.
2. If you’re selling these, can I buy one?

Β No bother at all! In fact, thanks for the comment!

About removing the hat, hair and other items: It's not easy. A lot of strong arming, pulling and cutting. I pulled off all limbs and head first then I carefully used aΒ scalpel/razor blade to remove everything, but being that it's hard plastic, it was very stubborn.

The skirt was the easiest since it was made with a softer plastic (Still a lot of tugging and pulling since it seems to be glued on there), then I cut off the hat from Serena then Ash. I then proceeded to remove the hair the swapped hats.Β

Again, it's not easy, and when using any blade just be very careful.Β

Wow, I guess that means she got chocolate colored hair! ha..ha... *crickets chirping* Do you think you'll get into polymer clay and make BJDs?

Chocooolaaatteeee....

I think I have some polymer clay (the non-health hazard kind), but I never use it since I never like to use the oven for anything other than cooking pizza. I'm so much used to using Apoxie since it hardens without baking.

As for BJDs, they look cool, but I never got into them. I would probably like to one day... maybe just one BJD. I'm mostly into 1:12/1:18 SH Figurearts, Figma, toys from the 80s/90s and bootlegs.

SH Figurarts made a Mario and Link doll action figure, they look very nice! www.amazon.com/Bandai-Tamashii… . Didn't know if you knew that already ^^*

I was nervous about cooking clay too but it really isn't all that bad. I guess someone could get one of those conventional ovens just for cooking clay if they were too nervous of the clay seeping into food or something, but I haven't noticed anything personally.

Bootlegs?

Yeah, I knew about those. :3 The Link and Samus ones are Figmas, and are my favorites (Even though I don't own them yet, they look pretty cool)

And yeah, I like bootleg versions of the real-deals. It's so much cheaper for customs (although, as of now I've only made 1 custom from a bootleg. The rest where from authentic figures...)

So far, I own a few figures from Datong and some other bootleg company(ies)-- which are mostly knock-off versions of SH Figure-arts.Β

These figures look and sound like they take a ton of effort.

I thought her name was White. :'x

Yeah, it's not hard, just super tedious.

I think her name is White as well. She has many names I suppose.

Thank you! I would love to give one out, but man, they're too expensive to make (I bought an extra Ash just so I can use the hat from him. lol) and it takes me almost half a year to make them.

I wish that the TOMY toy company that made the Serena and Ash would also make a Hilda...Β
