Ice Empire: September of 38 B.C.

-Great Ibex Hunt-
“I’ve been informed by Hunting Captain Cosette that a large herd of alpine ibex have begun migrating through our territory from the south. I want to send three patrols that way. Take down as many of the ibexes as you can; we’ll need the animals for our annual harvest celebration. I’ll send a Builder and their sled with you all to help transport back your haul.”

Patrol #2
Gladiators: Anastasia, Cichol, Isadora, Laika, Osprey, Plautia, Roman, & Siren
Apprentices: Hawk & Susitna

Plautia and Susitna had set off in the early light to track and hunt down the prey they were assigned to. Keeping low to the ground, the two were able to spot the herd's tracks, which led them down the mountain and to sprawling grasslands where a small herd of them had gathered to feed. This was their chance.

Plautia, hiding close to the grass, stationed herself up front, ready to tackle if it tried to escape. Susitna trailed behind it, preparing to catch it in its blind spot and dispatch it. Before Susitna could pounce, the ibex was startled off and made a dash for it. Unfortunately, Plautia was barely an obstacle for the ibex to leap over, leaving the hunt up to the growing apprentice to claim as her own.
