Me too, I also try to take the clothes I like and get good abilities on them, so I can combine different sets depending on the weapon I'm planning to use. So far, I managed to get a pair of boots that's all "Increased special gauge fill rate" and a jacket with full "Increased ink recharge rate". Now I'm farming "Decreased Ink usage of main weapon" chunks for my favourite headgears XD
Tip: If you want to collect certain chunks, try ordering outfits from the Nintendo Switch app. The description page for an item shows you what ability it's likely to get, so you can equip the outfits, level them up and scrub them for chunks afterwards.

I also wanted to become a pesky little sniper But I'm so used to the sniper mechanics from other games that it's difficult for me to use the Charger properly. I'm not used to a sniper weapon actually having a limited range XD

Yeah, my first attempt didn't go so well. I gotta farm a lot more chunks to do what I want. I guess it's because the school year started, but I'm finding a lot less people on to play when I'm available at night. This week alone I timed out waiting for players twice. Then when I am on, I forget to use crusty sean XD

Yeah, I also found out recently that certain clothing brands have a high change to gain certain abilities (like Splash Mob-clothes have a high chance to get the Ink Saver (Main) ability, so I'm using a full set of those clothes right now to farm chunks).
Yeah, I know that feel, same goes for me. Also, I think the connection to the server's got a little bit more unstable recently? I've been kicked out of matches quite often, but it's probably thanks to my internet connection as well, since I've gotten the "You're acting PREEEEETTY suspicious and we might temporarily ban you"-warning a few times...

I've been seeing more people kicked out of matches, especially during salmon run (makes me wish they'd apply the "you won't lose rank if someone disconnects" rule to your salmon run rank)

Didn't know about the sets. Seems I have a ton to learn. Guess I should have bought the guide book, lol

Yepp, same here. Making players lose rank when someone in their team leaves the game is plain unfair. But it seems the game also kicks idlers after a while. Some time ago, when I had a bad losing streak and joined a match just to see that someone in my team left the game before the round even started, I got so mad that I simply put my Switch down. I feel bad for it now but at that moment, I just needed to catch my breath and calm down again ^^" But after a while, I suddenly got kicked from the game and got that "Last session didn't end normally"-warning. So either it was coincidence and my internet connection gave up at that moment, or the game registered that I was idling and kicked me for it.

I also found out only recently when I was looking up skills. The Switch app does help to determine what clothing brand has which ability assigned to them. Plus, it's a good way to get certain clothes with unique abilities (like the Painter's Mask usually has "Cold-Blooded" as base ability, but I found a Painter's Mask with "Last-Ditch Effort" thanks to the app, which is a vastly superior ability if you ask me).

Makes sense if you get kicked for idling. It would weed out some of the butts that just pick a spot to hide and don't help because they just want EXP.

And yeah, my favorite set has unusual abilities that I got from the app too. One makes my jumping spot invisible and the other let's me vanish while swimming in ink. I love it, let's ne get behind enemy lines.

And I was looking at your picture again. I need to get that mask and wear my school girl clothes and post "Are you my mummy?" And see how many people get it XD

Yeah, I want some Blue Moto Boots with the invisible jump spot-ability as well, since it seems the most helpful. So far, I only got my hands on Blue Moto Boots with the Drop Roller ability, which is really, really bad. It only saved me one single time, when I was landing right next to an edge and was able to roll off of it, away from the enemy fire. And the Haunt ability on my current jacket isn't too good either, since it only shows the location of the last person who splatted me when they're in kid-form. Once they dive into ink, they're outta my sight again >o<
Your combo sounds rather good though, you may have lost some swim speed, but since your landing spots are invisible (at least in a distance), you can long-jump more safely and don't need to swim all the way.

Dr. Who, right? Funny story: The reason why I like the Painter's Mask is because it reminds me of the Pyro from TF2, ho wears a gas mask all the time Because of that (and their childlike behaviour), that character is prone to "Are you my mommy?"-jokes, and since I came across them so often, I ended up looking it up... that's why I know about this reference XD
