Did you listen to the podcast that inspired it? Did you read the description?

I read the description, but not the podcast

I'm guessing the longer ears would probably be for picking up sounds better, as well as the more effective shedding of heat, as with elephants and fennec foxes, taking the climate into account? Either way, it's still pretty interesting.

This one is somewhat smaller than a typical rhino, because Australia is less productive ecologically than Africa.

I had a discussion with Memo about this a while ago and I drew a rhino almost exactly like this, except it had smaller ears and a different horn shape!

Me too, it is always a compliment and I take it as such.

Ah.
Well, what about lions and elephants? I could see the former losing their manes to help with heat, maybe becoming more cursorial to better pursue prey like kangaroos - that, or becoming more dedicated ambush predators to attack before their prey can escape. Elephants, meanwhile, would probably get smaller like the rhinos, maybe develop stronger tusks for more easily peeling through bark and digging through dirt and/or a bison-like hump to store nutrients.
Ooh, camels might also work - they'd probably become more cursorial to better escape from the dingos you drew earlier.

Watch the podcast. Memo speculates that elephants would be to destructive yo rewild into Australia.
