I've not been doing a lot of art lately. XD What even amazes me is that I haven't been on TegakiE for long periods of time.Maybe cause my zeal for drawing is kinda low on the marks right now.My family and I have been traveling a lot so I suppose that's why I haven't been on in a while.The whole picture was BLOODY HARD TO DO.Except the people cause they're easy for me to do. XD Anyways to explain this picture,this is after Emma gets married to William Jones/Jounes.Since Monte and Layton are/supposedly siblings of Emma (in my world XD) she suggest to take a picture of the new brother-in-laws. From left to right are Collin,William,Montmorency,Hershel and Arthur.The story in the picture wouldn't really look like this cause Monte dislikes William for marrying Emma without his consent,so to be more realistic the picture would be more like this -> [link] .They're smiling in this one cause they're forced to look happy. XD Anyways till later and enjoy.

I have all the manga volumes and the entire anime series...and I was lucky. I spent 2 hours talking to the people at the CMX booth (before they closed their doors) at Anime Expo ('08) and entered a contest to get some Emma artwork, and I won! It's a large print (11X18, I think) of a page from Vol. 6 (The original art used to print the volume here in the states)! It's one of my treasured possessions.

*squee's* wow...this is just AMAZING!!! Look at that detail! First thing that I looked at were everyone's faces! Some are recognizable, and others I haven't seen. But each one is different and utterly perfect. Then the clothes! Simplistic and clean.
I love how you did the shadow/reflection on the table. Nice, nice touch to bring this piece out that not many people would even think about. I also like how you laid out the background to even things out; the wallpaper behind the men is plain, and the frames are rather decorated and keep the image from being too boring. A good focus point can be ruined by a boring background. (ps...was that tiny hat over the frame intentional? whatever it was for, i love it)
Oh! just noticed something else. Will's chair is different from Monte's and the Professor's. It's like he's new to the family, and stands out because of it.
Man, I just love the work you put into this. If you don't get onto the front page of DA because of this, I'm going to go crazy. Actually, I'm going to suggest that it does.

Aw thanks,the clothes were the hardest to find reference for,I had to go and watch Emma and search the internet for the cloth designs. XD The background wasn't to killer it just took to much time to do is all and the tophat in the painting is my signature for my art work. About the chair thing,I never really noticed that I just drew what I felt like was Victorian age or something along the lines of being aristocratic. Again thank you. XD

I think the creators of Professor Layton and the Curious Village decided against sticking to a certain time frame; you see Layton with a top hat, Luke with his television, and then a gramophone later on. The fashion jumps around too. I kind of wish we knew more about the time period they were in. It would make things easy.

Kinda,four of them are from different time lines in the Victorian age. XD Layton doesn't even appear I assume, in that time line since in his game their is already a tv or so.So I guess he appears in the 1930's or something. Anyways thank ye.

Gawd, I can see how this pic took a long while! The BG is amazing! I would stoop so low as to make it very, very cheap! XD But still! Nicely done! I love how you did the portraits and fruit over there! Dang nice! I also love how you put your little Top-Hat signature on the portrait over there heehee! For some reason I really like that fire place as well. Something about it. xD
