Chrome, on the other hand, became a REAL character. She used her own illusions to make her own organs, and wound up backing up and ultimately saving Mukuro, saying that she doesn't want to be a burden anymore, and that she wants him to see her as a woman.

Near the end of it, when she saved him, he commented on just how ridiculously powerful her flame was (she was nearly engulfed in mist flame). Not only that, but he thought to himself that her flame was also warm, and very calming.

Their relationship is never TRULY solidified. However, the amount of information to back it up is the most substantial in the series.

Oh, and Colonello and Lal were going to get married, but they wound up cancelling it temporarily after a fight. So yeah, canonically, Chrome and Mukuro make the best relationship in the series by far.

I also find it ironic; your drawing is named "I Live for You", but at the end of the series she learns to live for herself.

Basically came down to Tsuna going into the original dying will mode that he started with in the beginning series, and explained that since all that mode does is release restraints, he becomes more powerful than even his hyper dying will mode (since he'd proven to himself numerous times he's overcome all odds). Basically, since he was not only assured of himself, but had the power to back it up, he defeats Bermuda von Vichtenstein (badass name by the way) with relative ease.

Then, the creator of the arcoboleno appears and basically demonstrates that he is pretty much a god compared to mortals. As Checkerface is about to turn Tsuna and the others into arcobolenos, Tsuna reasons with him that he has a plan to end the arcoboleno cycle. With a machine that Talbot had made, the 7 pacifiers can be kept in check with help from Bermuda Von Vichtenstein and his 'void' flame. The arcobolenos don't become adults, but rather, they are no longer ageless.

Now, an epilogue could've ended it there. But no.

Instead, they do a joke episode where Reborn tells him he needs to pick a wife. Haru visits and actually attracts Tsuna for once. Then, Reborn sends Tsuna into his first stage dying will again, and he goes about exclaiming feelings for Kyoko in his underwear, (AGAIN.) He says at the end of the episode he's not picking them because he doesn't want to. Reborn tells him that he needs to become Decimo. Tsuna declines once more.

Reborn leaves and decides Tsuna is no longer worth the time. Tsuna enjoys a regular day at school sucking at sports and academics (showing little character growth); and Reborn returns the following morning saying that instead of being 'vongola decimo' he'll be 'neo vongola primo'. Again, he says no. Then, all of Tsuna's friends visit and Tsuna says that whatever happens, at least he has his friends.

So to put it basically, instead of doing a decent 'in the future' epilogue, the writer decides to do a cliffhanger about what happens, and says that the manga is officially ended.

DICK. MOVE.

Yeah, that's just what fans want; lack of closure. That is not an ending. That's an abortion. Did the character grow? No. The ONLY time he's ever strong is when he's backed into a corner. That's not strength. He didn't pick a girl. He didn't become Neo Vongola Primo. All just to pander to the fans that like to write fan-fiction.

And all the while, we get that cliche, cheesy, EVER PRESENT "I WILL RELY ON MY NAKAMA TO SAVE ME WHEN I BECOME A LITTLE *EXPLITIVE DELETED*"

Great moral guys. Great story.

WTFFFFFFFFFFflskdfjsld that's the shittiest ending ever and Reborn is already such a convoluted story blehhhh HERE GOES A RANT:

At first, Reborn seemed like it had such potential - a good set up and awesome characters but unfortunately, I feel like that mangaka doesn't know anything about story telling. Her pacing has always been weird and making most of the beginning chapters "filler-like chapters" was a bad telltale sign. The Mukuro and Varia arcs were pretty good but it was mostly just introducing one character after another and fights - not much deep character development or plot besides that. I stopped watching at the future arc because the story got so twisted and bland (again just character intros and fighting; not to mention too many goddamn characters) But based on what I can tell, the story just complicates more with the boxes and the rings and the fucking furry animal weapons (srsly wtf) and OH HEY WE'RE THE DEATH WREATHS *bajillion chapter long fight scenes* NO JUST KIDDING WE'RE THE ACTUAL DEATH WREATHS *bajillion chapter long fight scenes*.

And I'm really sad that the series ended so poorly...it's like Tsuna and the plot didn't progress much since the first chapter. And I'm surprised that he doesn't pick Kyoko cuz it seems she was always there for him and there was build up to back that up...weird.

Overall fail series...except for the cool characters, which i think made up most of its popularity.

I loved the series, but yeah, character development was the main issue. Mukuro's imprisonment was development. Learning about Gokudera's mother was character development. But, what about Lambo, or maybe Reborn's past lifestyle? Only about a quarter of the cast got genuine backgrounds.

And yeah, the main plot was find a bad guy, beat him, he becomes a friend. Even Byakuran becomes an ally.
