Description So I'd now like to introduce the amazing, phenomenal and ridiculously easy to draw Stick Figure! I honestly can't believe no one did this before me. Guess no one thought a stick figure would make for an interesting superhero. The idea for this guy has been floating around in my head since the 90s back when Malibu Comics had their Ultraverse (before Marvel bought the company and then eventually just through that whole universe of characters away, never to be seen again). In a book called The Night Man there was a guy who was murdered but he returned to life by his spirit possessing the chalk outline the police drew around his body. This created one hell of a neat visual I thought and one heck of an original character.Β 

Fast forward almost 2 decades later and while playing Champions Online (again) I figured out how to make the character work in the game which inspired me to put him into my comic universe once again. And so now, at long last my easiest to draw character finally makes his official debut into the Infiniverse of Southern Comics.

Honestly this is a great concept that I really like! There's a lot of mystery to his backstory that I think would be interesting to explore. Though I do feel that he might fit more as a supporting character given he's mute.

But I do have to say his interactions with Mr. Happy are, I hope, a lot of fun to read. How could the two not do a lot of silly stuff together?

Oh this character will be fun for a number of reason but being mute does limit hum potentially. Should he ever get his own stories I will likely have him narrateΒ via an internal monolog.

That sounds like a good idea! Internal monologues are an interesting thing to explore, and I imagine that'll express a lot of Stick Figure's personality.

Just don't spoil that too quickly given his mystery

Yeah these two would be like the Superman/Batman team up of my world since Stick Figure is way more at home dealing with street crime than taking on sea monsters and such. Often time I’ll see someone else’s OC and think, damn, why didn’t I think of that, its so simple yet so obvious. I’m hoping this time folks are thinking that about SF.
