This was a friggin' ball to work on when it came together but man, I fought and fought with this one until I finally nailed down a composition I liked.
I LOVE the remake of "The Blob" from the 80's, so I got a few extra giggles placing myself at the scene when rendering this out and imagining these poor bastards getting run down in an aqueduct by a massive ooze.
God, I love my job.

This is absolutely terrifying. What's scarier than a shapeless all-consuming entity that can scald and melt away the very flesh from your bone, and then probably the bone along with it! The expressions on their faces -- especially the man in front; eyes wide and burning from the acid melting away at him -- are wonderful! Definitely a favorite.

Absolutely amazing. The contrast and highlights on the two figures as well as your handling of the lighting and focuson the slime makes for a truly realistic image. I'm blown away!

I don't even play green but DANG! You've made me want this card sooo badly. I love your magic cards, also that Michael Kormarck dude is also pretty frickin' good. Also, I have to ask, how did you end up not working on the innistrad block? I mean it's like it was made for you Brad.

Also, yes - Michael Komarck is an incredible artist. He's actually my favorite modern artist right now, guy's stuff is just so on the money, every time.

I know, man...I'm hurtin over not having any art in the block, but it's for a good reason.
I was working on the Nicol Bolas poster at the time the Innistrad commissions were going out, so while it sucks not to have stuff in the block I got to draw the ultimate evil bad-ass of the Magic universe - a fair trade IMHO.
