Great speed paint as usual...
How do you color your pictures?
Do you set the brush tool to "Color" and use it on top of a grey image like your friend *torvenius or do you paint the color along with the rest of the picture?
Because you always manage get nice colors.

thanks,
I paint colour from the offset, use minimal layer options and just straight paint, up to slow to do a greyscale then colour, torvenius is fast.

Thank you for replying, personally use greyscales and layer attributes but seldom gets things the way I really intended to.

Well I just did a 20 min one, but it i feel quality is better of quantity. so Im not going to post it, but I will keep practicing. How long have you been doing these? And do you have any tips for speed?

of course go for quality, i spend many hours on actual paintings for work and personal, this is only for morning times before i start 'actual' painting.
as for tips id say focus on light and value in the image, if you nail that down in a matter of minutes it will sell the rest of the image to the viewer.

no worries, just dont be concerned with time, its no big deal if it takes 20mins or 20 hours, your still leanring so spend as long as it needs

not sure of what you mean.
If i like it i might finish it, but i dont plan to, usually i plan images a bit when i intend to make an illustration or concept

I did 2 quick ones, one last night and one this morning. Neither of which look "finished" just a base color and some shading. Would u recommended trying to get them to a semi finished state or keep doing the quick ones every morning.
I agree that if your going to truly make something look good, it would be best to plan it out.

if you want to make a finished peice then make a finished piece but id probably suggest doing sketches and drawing while you learn this stuff.
Less thinking and planning and more doing
