Thousands of girls. Every day. Gone. Without a trace.

These red dresses were created to make girls feel beautiful. They were meant to be worn in a calm, protective environment in which such girls would feel safe and content. Now they're hanging outside, fragile and vulnerable in the harsh snowy environment. Withstanding perpetual abuse and eventually disappearing from their posts, these red dresses symbolize the horrifying lives led by far too many girls around the world.

The dresses have been hung around campus to recognize girls who are abused, taken from their homes, their lives, and their family, and seemingly vanish from the face of the earth, never to be seen again. How someone could kidnap and abuse a young girl, woman, or *anyone* for that matter, is beyond me. I can't even fathom it. But it happens. Every day. To thousands of people. And something needs to be done to stop it.

I hope with all I've got, that this campaign, cropping up in more and more places every day, raises awareness toward this issue, and helps to eradicate the awful criminals who perpetuate this issue. ALL girls should be able to fully enjoy the life they're entitled to live.
