Description my illustration thesis is on the mythology of the afterlife. this first piece i did is for Greek mythology. The Greeks believe that some souls are fated to be reincarnated. this is the aspect that i chose to illustrate.

used a variety of media including tissue paper collage, acryilic inks and paint.

Mythology of the afterlife is SUCH a cool idea. She looks Greek, seriously. With a modern edge. Def. lovin' the tissue paper, baby. Ur so neat, lolz.

it's actually pretty good. i chose Gary for thesis, and we have a pretty solid raport, so i'm not too concerned. my thesis topic is really interesting and i'm learning alot, strangely enough.

Yeah, I'm hoping Gary chooses to teach next year, cause I would like to have him for thesis. I'm glad it's going well for you. I love mythology, so I think it awesome

Love the water-like colors here, you pull it off quite well to make it look diffrent, yet it's nice and sharp..

thankyou very much sir. but for your information, there is not a drop of watercolour in this whole piece. *grin*

it's acrylic inks, mostly.

Ah, but it looked like water paint, and with the inks, i wasnt entirely incorrect was I? Anyhow, it looks cool, great to see that your as good with traditional art methods as well, you should explore it more often...

oh, i do a lot of traditional medium work. it's usually just too big for my scanner bed and i'm WAY too lazy to try and piece it togather. or try and shoot it digitally.

Haha, I'm facing the same thing, and since I only have a webcam I can't even make a decent pic of it, it sucks big time... If you have a decent digi cam and you get the lighting right, it would be best. If you scan it, colours would fuck up anyway. Bit like filming hardcore in a softcore porn; just doesnt work...

Anyhow, just keep up the good work babe..

thanks. i'm doing some experimentation for these pieces, and nothing digital. i miss traditional work.
