Description So, on the Sodor Island Forums, there is a thread where you can talk about moments in Thomas & Friends that scared you. Two of the most common things were Thomas' shocked face, and Diesel's angry face.Β

I personally was never scared of Thomas' face, but Diesel's face lunging towards the camera was enough to make me hide behind the couch whenever that scene from Pop Goes the Diesel came.

Anyway, that's what inspired this picture.Β

Every time I hear the Thomas fanbase criticizing the Model Series for being extremely scary, All I could think is:

CGI Thomas: "Leave out nature alone, you controversial monster!"- said CGI Thomas as he pushes Model Series Thomas off a cliff.

Know what I got scared of?

Boo Boo Choo Choo. One sight of that horrific primitive CGI owl and I'd be running up the stairs, shrieking.

I used to get scared of the scene in Percy Runs Away where Percy is waiting on the points and then Gordon comes and when he was getting closer to Percy, Percy had his eyes shut and then I saw Gordon's shocked face and was shivering and still shivering when I saw his angry face when he stopped in front of Percy. I was also scared of the bee in James Goes Buzz Buzz cause I hate bees cause one stung me when I was little and I was scared of Percy's Ghostly Trick. Pop Goes the Diesel however made me laugh cause of Diesels growling.

Forget the "FORWARDS!" I always hid behind the couch by the line "Diesel found them hard to move!"

Well, Diesel wasn't staring and facing head-on into the camera when that line was said.

Ah, but that was probably the signal that he was about to, and one'd better take cover fast!

Huh, interesting.

The only moments in Thomas that kept me up at night was "Percy's Ghostly Trick", "Haunted Henry"Β and "Duncan Gets Spooked." A moment that made me either close my eyes or, duck down into my pillow in a hurry was the moment when James got stung on the nose in "James Goes Buzz Buzz". That high pitched EEEEEEEE!!! nearly made my young heart stop.

I hid behind the couch at the bee scene too.

For one, having a cartoon character with live action models weirded me out, for another it scared me when the bee charged at the camera.Β

I have to agree. When I was younger, I'd climb into my mum's bed to watch TV before school and when this episode came on, off it went.

Honestly the only things in Thomas that did scare me as a child was the Chinese dragon in Thomas, Percy and the Dragon and the ghost train in Percy's Ghostly Trick.

The chinese dragon was either one of or THE only thing that scared me as a kid. I think in some cases it still does today.
