I did this one for my college's upcoming Student Creative Award, took me about 9-11 hours to finish, i am still not sure what category this painting is qualified to be in, hopefully i will get something cos this is my last year in the college.... I was inspired by my all time favourite short animation, Burning Safari and thanks to my lecturer, Mathieu for the tips in paintings. you should sell this for movie rights, lol, it looks like something a matte painter would do. Look at Ryan Church or Dylan Cole.

concpet art all rough wan la,haha, da statue is far away from da foregroung which makes it a middle ground or background liao, if i put darker tone, it will look flat bcos diff ground shudnt share same or almost da same tones

yah if detail the statue will be great.and i think the perspectives can be improved somemore.
but nice lighting man,and i like the back of the 2 monkey at the front here...

my lecturer asked me not 2 add anything on da statue n im totally agree with him on dat, cos it will look too complicated, da 2 monkey will b modified soon...hahaha

by d way, I feel that the large statue should have be more detail on it and the shape of it's body, feel like sumthing wrong thr.
and I cant really get what is at the lower left side. Is it facing which side?
the roof at the right side oso, mayb abit perspective problem.

thank you very much, i triple checked the perspective, dunno larh, mayb i still made mistakes, i kinda distorted the body cos it look more interesting plus it is trend XDDD the lower floor are actually consturction site, they are still building the huge statue, thank you very much, i montage n painted over oni dat basket, i aint dat good man ,hahahahahahahahahhaa.....

ok lor... there's only one thing, just like swtchildishdreams said, the main focal point is hard to see..... if you think that the monkey statue is important then make it more detail, or you can change the brightness lor.. I found out the wall with the monkey on it is quite more attractive compare to the statue XDD *eyes on there* The details steal the show liao...
the other parts are superb liao!!! Bravo

i feel like you need to establish a main focal point, because right now my eyes sort of just wanders around without really setting on something. to make something stand out more, you can add more details to drawl the eyes toward that spot more. on the right corner, the blue hue stands out a lot. so you either make that the main focal point or bounce the color out more to balance the picture. you dont have to take my suggestions but it's something to think about.
