Description The ever so talented strikes again and brings to us this piece of sheer awesomness!

Vigil, born with royal blood in her veins, a princess ment to rule.
But destiny had other plans and she turned heroine, using her immense telekinetic powers for good.
And so the royal from the distant future declared herself the present's protector.
But every action, good or bad, causes a reaction. And sometimes good deeds lead to bad things.
So it came that Vigil one day freed the humans of another dimension from slavery by a tyrannic super computer. But right before its final shut down the mechanical despot created its masterpiece:
Nejil - a cybernetic femme fatale, programmed to hunt down the one who caused her master's demise.
Being capable of traveling through dimensions herself, tracking down Vigil wherever she goes, there seems to be no place to hide from the vicious Nejil.
Or is it that Vigil doesn't want to hide in the first place, knowing all too well that innocents would pay the price for it?

And here you see Nejil, ambushing Vigil as she tries to travel through a portal to another destination.
Yet again the two engage in battle. Who will emerge the victor? The blue-blooded heroine or the cold-blooded cyborg?

Vigil belongs to
Nejil belongs to me!

Wow, what a great picture! Thanks for commissioning a picture featuring my character BC! Nejil is a great character - I love the background story and I'm sure we can find a use for her. The only thing I don't really get is the name - does it mean anything? Anyway, I really must get back to those Vigil Villain pictures - expect Nejil art soon!

Thank you, I'm glad you like her! And I can't wait to see her drawn in your style!
As for your question about her name, there's actually something special to it and yes, it does mean something
I wanted her name to sound similar to Vigil and "neji" is the japanese word for "screw"

...I'm not sure how to take that...

What do you mean? That bad?
Screw like the tool, not as in to screw someone, of course.

Why is she named after a screw? Seems a bit odd! Not bad... just strange! (and no, I didn't think you meant the other screw! lol!)

It's a long story
I wanted something mecha-related and neji fits very well to make an easy Vigil-like name.

Yeah - kind of sounds Vigil-ish - I wondered if that was the reason. Still seems a bit odd though - and naming her after a small metal pin makes it even more so! Not a major thing!

I just checked once more!
It can also mean something screwed together

lol - I hope she's held together better than that!

Meh! As long as it has a nice sound to it

There always is a chance I translate it wrong
Could as well be that it's a regular term for mecha-things.
Or that it stands for nega as in negative, since the japanese don't have a real "G"

It's not a major thing - don't worry about it

Heh heh! Are you actually entering the contest or just making Nejil a legit character you intend to use full time? Very nice commission man, Nejil looks very imposing here. She sure likes showing off her power against Vigil it seems.

Well, that depends
Should Kost choose her, I would be flattered.
But if not, I'm not planning on having her get dusty and rusty.
She will show up in future works of mine inculding Vigil one way or another.

And you're right, she does like to let us "fleshpots" feel her supremacy
I do think too she looks great here ... even though her chest area might be a bit too ... well ... outstanding

I'm in the same boat as you. When Ghost inevtiably fails on the votes I'll end up using her me thinks. I'm quite proud of her design which is a rare thing for me, so like you if she doesn't make the cut I certainly won't be casting her away

I look forward to seeing more of Nejil, she looks like she will be a swell villainess, perhaps even more deadly then Viper!

Branded-Curse In reply to thedude255 [2011-11-04 22:29:45 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, Ghost! She's something
I find her story very tragic though, I must say.

Great! I hope to show more of Nejil in the future.
More deadly than Viper? Well, more cold-blooded indeed.
Viper is human after all. Twisted and evil, but with feelings and maybe one day even a conscience. Nejil on the other hand sees mankind as vermin and will not hesitate to kill anybody in her way, if it benefits her. Than again, she doesn't pursuit world domination and god-like powers. So I think right now Viper is the worse one ... however, that might change in time.

Yah, they both have their bad points and worse points. Viper is more of a threat in the sense of her ambitions, whilst Nejil is more threatening to take on in combat I imagine. I'm sure Vigil will probably agree right now

Looks like they are fighting in space

I guess Vigil has a new enemy after her

Branded-Curse In reply to Lecter-the-Mu [2011-11-04 22:05:29 +0000 UTC]

It is supposed to be a time-space-portal and I couldn't think of a cooler way to have it portrayed
And yes, Nejil is on the hunt for her! Talk about a stalker!

After reading that short bio of her in your comment section, is Vigil careful about traveling to the past with the whole Butterfly Effect and that paradox where trying to prevent an event you end up causing it

Branded-Curse In reply to Lecter-the-Mu [2011-11-04 23:16:44 +0000 UTC]

You better ask about the details.
But as far as I understand it, she is and she rarely really changes the past.
Cause, in Kost's words, when you go to the past and prevent something from happening, back in your future it never happened and you had no reason to go back in the first place and so on.

It's confusing, is it?

Lecter-the-Mu In reply to Branded-Curse [2011-11-04 23:29:57 +0000 UTC]

Yes it is

Maybe I won't look in to it too much.

Could cause a serious headache
Time traveling is complicated ... you fail to think about one little detail and you can have chaos at your hands
