My wood burning for the Dodge Inspired by You Contest. Burnt on a 24" X 15.5" piece of 1/4" plywood. This whole wood burning took around 25 hours to complete.Here's another picture of it for scale: brandojones.deviantart.com/artβ¦

Thanks! I originally did this one for a contest on this website. But I didn't win. A lot of people thought I would have though. BUT, afterwards the original photographer who took the picture that I based this off of saw the woodburning and loved it. So he connected me with the Dodge Dart project manager and they ended up buying it. Which was awesome and unexpected! Hah

Holy cow! I've never seen anything like this before! Wood burning is one hell of a medium. I like digital mostly, but its works like this that push me to try new things.

Actually the contest is almost over. They already picked the top 15 for each category (traditional and digital) and I didn't make it. 
Still hoping though just in case some random thing happens in my favor.

I wonder what I should do with my wood burning now. Sell it online, keep it, or sell it to a person from Dodge (don't know where/how I could).

sorry, forgot. I'd wait a few days until final results are in. Just in case somebody gets disqualified and they have to pick another piece. I'd say until then there's still a little chance. Maybe the photographer is interested too? You could always let him know you're willing to sell? And since he's already got his photograph accepted by Dodge, maybe he has some contacts that may prove to be valuable?

You could always try contact your local Chrysler office, see if they're interested? If not, sure, why not try sell it online? Go for highest bidder

Contacted the original photographer on Facebook. He might be interested. But he said that he's going to contact the lead manager in charge of the Dart project and send him a picture.

(i) Creative Treatment of the Dodge Dart car or any element of the car (33 1/3%),
(ii)Overall Impact of the Work (33 1/3%) and
(iii) Technical Skill(33 1/3%)
