Description already planing my next major cosplay and i haven’t even 100% finished  pyrrha yet.  but im craving some cosplay creativity and Ive been thinking about doing a nier automata cosplay since i finished the game a while ago.

YoRHa unit 2b, heavy armour.
this will be a mostly foam build   the only part im going to start anytime soon is the helmet.
Aiming to have it done by oz comic con Adelaide 2018 in about 8 months time  (or sooner if every thing go’s well),  while that sounds like ages away  its a hard build and i will also be working on  my figure during that time, getting to a body weight that i can actually  look good a skin tight body suit with.

ohhhh...this looks like it will be a total pain to build, so much armor and intricate detail...

hey quick question for you ner vod, i'd like to do a cosplay of a clone, but can't pay an arm or a leg to aquire the suit, what would you recommend building the armor plates from that would be easy for a first timer and not cost several thousand for a prebuilt one from starfortressproductions?

(first I need to hit the sit ups before I even dream of cramming my slightly flabby gut into a kriffing chest and stomach plate lol)

yeah there is a lot more detail on the back as well that will be a pain to do but. its a really cool design  and i love the character plus im  up for the challenge

there are a few ways to to good budget armour, but the best way would probably be eva foam, the floor mat you can get in a big roll, not the square ones,  the square  will be a bit to thick for what you want...
i would highly recommend  watching a bunch of vids on  punished props youtube page www.youtube.com/user/punishedp…
they have a bunch of tutorials on how to make amazing looking costumes for cheap out of foam.

but  foam is the best place to start its cheap and easy to get,  then you can try going in to plastic and maybe steel later.

thanks so much ner vod! this will help a lot. I hope to do this soon so I can have armor to match my voice impression. good luck with your cosplays.

I know the movie accurate stuff is made out of fiber glass. It's really expensive though I amd I'm not good with plastics yet, though I hope to be. One day I may 3D print some armor.

Btw, have you heard my clone voice yet? it's on youtube. lol

(not gonna force you to listen, not trying to self advertise either lol, just in case you wanted to listen.)
