Awww I'm sorry to hear that But maybe you're right. I'm still not very good at coloring my drawings and I'm trying many different styles in search of the one that suits me the most  Right now I'm kinda into markers and I think I'm better at coloring with markers than coloring with colored pencils.

I understand how hard it is to try and figure out which form of drawing you feel more comfortable with, I didn't mean it as a critic I myself have a lot of troubles coloring, even though I work with ballpoint pen and I'm at the very early stages of working with colors

I've never worked with markers and I barely did with colored pencils either, but in this case in particular I don't think you did a bad job in the final result, the shading is well done. I'm more of a greyscale/black and white person anyway, but I do think the sketch looks more 'realistic' that way. Maybe to me personally it looks less realistic because it has colors if I make sense

Ugh.. doesn't make much sense but to each their own I guess  I like greyscale drawings too and I used to draw only in greyscale but I think that coloring a piece brings it to life ~in most cases~ (not all^^). So I try to incorporate colors into my drawings but I rarely do fully colored traditional art (digital art is a different story). I think that if I hadn't colored Mello he'd look too incomplete. I'm planning on drawing him again like this when I've improved a bit because in hindsight I see many things that I would have drawn differently

Thank you ^^ And you should definitely rewatch it! I had actually never watched the anime until this month, I'd only read the manga. Currently I'm watching the anime and I think it's very well made

Thanks~^^ It was my first try too  But I haven't tried anything  similar since then.. I guess it's not really my style although I did enjoy it and I wanna do it sometime in the future again

Yep, first try I saw all these awesome colored pencil drawings on here and on YouTube and I though "hey, maybe I could do something similar"
