Description My first try with watercolours, so please be gentle. I'm aware of the mistakes i commited (for instance. the paper and the brushes I used were louzy, I must say...), but that's the way i learn, right?
Anyway, i guess it's not THAT bad... for a first try

Critics and comments are preety much welcome and desired.

Take care!

Why watercolour is called watercolour?! Because of the unbelievably huge amount of water used in the so called "production" of your art work. So for next time, try to use more water. And make your piece more colourful.. when it becomes really good you can experiment with Sepia.
And one more thing. Water colour is specific. It's not like pencil that when you shade you can rub out the piece where it's supposed to be light, so it becomes more realistic. You cannot rub watercolour. So what we do is we leave the very light parts, white. Without any colours, just white. Then it adds 3D to your work. And is more effective.
I hope you are not offended. And I hope my tips are helpful.
Besides that I like your work. We alwyas learn on our mistakes, ain't that right?!
Good Luck

OF COURSE i'm not offended, on the contrary, I must say. This is the kind of comment that really helps, right?

Well, I know I used too much paint and not enough water... But now I know. Next time i'll pay attention to that. Besides, I still have some problems with the white areas since I usually use graphite pencils on my drawings (I guess you noticed that... )and I'm used to open the highligts with the rubber. Still have to work on that too.

I still have a lot to practice, right? I've been thinking of making a new watercolour one these days. I hope I can count on your opinion then too.

Thanks for everything. Take care!

Well, it's pretty much amateur, i guess. But I'm glad you enjoy it. Even so i'll work to improve my watercolour skills. Thanks!

I like it very simple. Good choice for trying a new medium out. I actually enjoy the darker wash feel. The color you chose gave it even a more nostalgic feel. Good job.

Watercolors can be tough. Great job on your first try!
You were wise in keeping this monochrom (or nearly so).

One tip to consider: the white of the paper is very valuable, don't give it up too easily. A few areas of white white really makes things pop!

This is exactly the kind of comment i was expetcing to receive.

Indeed, i kept it monochrome, but i used too much paint, it supposed to be more "washed" (don't know if i'm making myself clear... ). About the white areas, i realised that when i finished the piece.

Still a lot to learn and practice, right? I have another watercolour in my mind.... sooner or later i'll begin with it, i guess. I'm looking forward for your comment and some more precious help from you then! Thanks a lot!
