OK, so I guess I lied when I said the next thing I'd upload would be the rest of my 90's Nickelodeon tribute pictures, but fear not, I will finish those soon. As for now, I'm putting up this tribute to Mario and Luigi - Superstar Saga, which along with Mother 3 and Warioware, inc. makes my top 3 GBA games. Now that I've got a new computer I'll be back in business. I've actually had the idea for this picture for years now, but I didn't get around to doing it until now. I originally had some different plans, such as the background showing two different scenes on top and bottom but I ultimately decided there wouldn't be a good transition between the two so I scratched that. I'm a little displeased with the end result. All while I was coloring the characters I loved the way it was coming out, but just as I finished the background last night I found it didn't turn out as I planned. There just seems to be far too little space being consumed by the foreground and too much empty background space.Well, whatever, I guess I'm never pleased with my own work. Here we have the heroes of the game, the Mario Bros. and the debonair Prince Peasley going after the wicked Cackletta and her assistant, Fawful.

Thank you. Although I will always be most nostalgic for SMRPG on SNES, Superstar Saga is definitely the all around best Mario RPG in my opinion.

In a sense, Superstar Saga helps one get a better idea of what an RPG is like.

Yeah, Mario RPGs are really good starter RPGs I feel. SMRPG was my introduction to the genre, honestly. I never played any Final Fantasy games or Chrono Trigger until after I played SMRPG.

I don't really think so. BIS was pretty fun, but it didn't have enough of the gameplay style I loved in the first two games. I never finished BIS, and I've never played DT. I'd like to finish BIS someday, though, as well as try out DT.

This one is just as awesome as your Partners in Time drawing, this game took me forever to beat probably since I was like nine when I first got it. I really wish they would add the villians from these games to Mario Kart, especially another Double Dash, Cackletta/Fawful, Princess Shroob/Elder Princess Shroob, that would be epic.

Thanks so much. It would be epic to see those characters in Mario Kart, but unless they're the same characters they use over and over in sports titles it seems Nintendo won't do it. Hell, I think they should even have Wario character cameos since they do DKC cameos. How cool would a Tatanga and Orbulon team be? Or Tatanga and Princess Shroob.

Yeah that would be great, or better add some to Super Smash Bros, Cackletta would be a great one as would Princess Shroob, but then people would complain about too many Mario people and not enought π: 0 β©: 1
True. Mario & Zelda could both use some more characters in SSB. They both have so many great characters from so many different games. For some reason, after three games the best they can do for Zelda is still just the three main characters and another form of one of the same damn characters. Seriously, they couldn't come up with any other Zelda character so they had to re-use Link?

Yes Vaati and Zant really should be in it as well, Zant especially should have been in Brawl since Twlight Princess came out not long before that.
