It took me too damn long to get this one up thanks to my Mac's faulty capacitors. I've had limited Photoshop time due to my Mac's random shut-downs, so this took me way too long to comlete. Well, anyway, here's the next bookmark in my series - Panel de Pon. Though not the most well-known game ever, Panel de Pon was an addictive and ingenius puzzle game for the Super Famicom (others would know it better as "Tetris Attack", a cheap Yoshi's Island advertisement released over seas to mask the original charm). In this bookmark are -
LIP - The fairy of flowers, and main protagonist of the game. I've already drawn this little cutie pie before, and as you can see, I didn't draw her much differently at all than the last time I did. I had to move the bunny's eyes in the final form because he originally looked like a perv looking up her skirt rather than at the flower.
SHERBET - I really like how she came out here. Sherbet's the fairy of ice, and the second fairy you face. I had loads of fun with the ice hair. She also has one of my favorite songs in the game.
THIANNA - The fairy of nature. Unfortunately, her outlines came out way too much thinner than the rest of the gals' so she looks rather out-of-place in the picture. Ah well.
RUBY - The fairy of jewels (or something like that). I'm pretty damn disappointed with how she came out in this picture. I just feel like I could have done a way better job with her.
ELIAS - The fairy of water, Elias was pretty fun to draw, making her hair resemble a stream.
FLAIR - Hands down my favorite drawing in this piece. I love the way she came out here. Flair is the fairy of fire, and in my opinion, has the coolest song in the entire game. Only problem I have with this picture is that her face looks pretty much exactly the same as how I drew another Nintendo character's face before.
SERENE - The moon fairy, and probably my personal least favorite. No real complaint with how she came out here, I'm just not crazy about the character. She looks like a lost Sailor Moon character or something, and I hate that little snotty laugh she does. She also has my least favorite song in the game (though even that's still pretty cool. The soundtrack's amazing) Actually, scratch that. Her music's better than Windy's theme, the monster theme and Thanatos' theme.
I wish I could have done all nine but the format for my bookmark series is 7 characters a piece. Windy's generally boring so I didn't mind leaving her out, and Neris shares pretty much the same color scheme as Ruby so, although she's a pretty interesting one, I decided to leave her out too. Serene brings much more unique colors to the final product.
Only four more bookmarks remain. What will they be? ......you'll have to wait and see. Game on.
