Description
This is my first time doing a portrait with a black background, reason largely being that I wanted to try out a technique on "drawing" blonde "fly-away" strands of hair. Line indents were made on the paper with the edge of a metal ruler before darkening the surrounding areas.Β
Stats: Thor's drawn with mechanical 4B pencil on A4 Bristol paper, background darkened with 7B pencil

nope, they are on the same surface I draw on, so that the graphite doesn't darken those lines!
