You sat in class, listening to the teacher drone on and on about vampire history. You'd already learned everything you needed to know about the stuff, and yet here you were, listening to it again for the billionth time.

You tuned the teacher out and your gaze shifted to Senri Shiki. You've had a crush on him, since you first arrived here a month ago. You loved how he wasn’t all into the crowd and said and did what he wanted to, whenever he wanted to, if he decided to speak that is.

You were envious of Rima Touya. She was always around him. She even fed Senri pocky! How would you, the new girl, find your way into the impassive man’s heart? How could you compete with a childhood friend?

You sighed in defeat and decided to think about it later, resting your head on the desk and falling asleep.

You felt someone nudge you, trying to wake you up, but you didn't budge as you were still half asleep. “Hey, new girl, wake up,” said someone with a bored, monotone voice. You instantly knew who it was and sat up in your seat.

Rubbing the sleepiness out of your eyes, you looked up at Senri and smiled sheepishly while he just wore a blank facial expression. Looking around the room, you saw that everybody was gone. “Everyone left already. You know, you snore in your sleep,” he stated, bluntly.

At the mention of you snoring, your cheeks turned crimson from embarrassment. “U-Um, thank you for waking me,” you said to the older vampire. You were sixteen and he was seventeen, so now, you were known as the youngest vampire in the Night Class.

He nodded briefly at your comment then placed his hands in his pockets. ‘He looks so cool’ you thought, staring at him for a moment.

To you, he was perfect in every way with his mahogany hair, bluish grey eyes, and immense beauty. The list went on. Ironically, the one that you loved was standing right in front of you, where you could physically touch him, yet you two weren't close. To be honest, you didn't think that he knew your name.

Earlier, he had called you ‘new girl’ instead of____. A thought crossed your mind and you voiced it.

“Not to sound rude or anything, but why are you still here? I mean, you could have left with the others.” He looked at you. “Do you want me to leave?” he asked.

“Not at all, I was just wondering,” you said, casually avoiding his gaze. “I'll walk you to your dorm,” said the older vampire suddenly. “Uh, Okay,” you answered, surprised by him wanting to do this.

You and Senri walked in silence and you pulled on your calm face, even though your heart was hammering in your chest. ‘Calm down!’ you shouted inside your head. You couldn't stand the fact that you couldn't get a grip on these feelings of yours.

It was already settled, Senri liked Rima. End of story. Why couldn't your heart understand that?

Finally arriving at your room, you thanked Senri then headed inside. Right when you were about to close your door, Senri sauntered in. You raised a questioning brow at him, but he didn't say anything. Deciding to go along with it, you closed your door.

When you turned around, Senri was lying in your bed with his eyes closed. You walked over to him and nudged him. “Um, what are you doing?” you asked.

“Sleeping,” he answered, never opening his eyes. “Please get up,” you pleaded, not sure how much your heart could take, seeing him sprawled there on your bed like that. “I’m tired and your room is closer,” he stated.

“But-

Senri suddenly pulled you on the bed, pinning your arms down underneath him. “W-What are you doing?” you stammered, blushing furiously. “You won’t let me sleep, so I guess I’ll just entertain myself instead,” said Senri, eyes turning crimson with bloodlust.

He then leaned down and started to lick your neck. You gasped and your cheeks turned an even darker shade of red. “S-Senri,” you stuttered. “Please, don’t.”

“Why not, we’re both vampires,” he said, in that same unaffected tone. When he spoke, his breath blew on your neck, and it sent a shiver down your spine.

“Because…”You trailed off, realizing that you didn't have much of a reason, really. After all, you said that you'd given up on him, so why would it matter if he took your blood or not? It was a normal thing that vampires with one another, from time to time. Thinking this, you decided to change your words.

“Um, never mind,” you said. “You can take from me, if you want.”

‘There are no feelings,’ you told yourself, as Senri’s fangs extended. ‘This is just the normal thing to do.’

The older vampire bit deeply into your neck and began drinking, body pressed against yours and hands tightening around your wrists. You had to bite back a moan because the sensations running through your body right now were, extremely, pleasurable.

You didn't think that having your blood drained would feel this way. Of course it hurts when the skin is broken, but after that it was complete bliss. “Senri,” you moaned, failing miserably at trying to make your voice firm. If he continued on like this, you weren't sure what you would try to do to him.

After a few more moments, he pulled away, licking your blood off of his lips. “Delicious,” he murmured huskily, eyes starting to turn back to their original color.

The next few days you went to class, you actually paid attention to the teacher, if only to get your mind off of…other things.

After Senri drank your blood, he'd left and gone back to his shared room with Takuma. No doubt he would find out that Senri drunk from you, but you were sure that he wouldn't tell. The guy was nice like that.

Once classes ended, you stood up and packed your things, intent to head for the fountain so that you could sit and think. Before you went, however, Senri came over to you when the class was nearly empty. “Where are you going?” he asked. Avoiding eye contact, you answered him. "I’m going to the fountain."

“Can I come?” he asked, which made you feel uncomfortable.

After your experience, you found it hard to look at the mahogany haired boy, so being near him was very much a challenge. “Um, I don't think that’s a good idea,” you told him, honestly. He stared at you for a moment, taking note of the blush painting your cheeks.

All of a sudden, he placed his hands on your desk, on either side of you, trapping your body between it and him. You looked at him in shock, shutting your eyes tight when he started to lean close.

“Hey..” he whispered, minty breath cascading onto your lips. “Look at me.” You didn’t. If you did, then you didn't know what you would do.

He cupped your cheeks with his hands. “Please, ____”. Your (e/c) eyes widened in surprise and you looked into his bluish grey ones. You'd thought that he didn’t know your name.

As if he read your mind, Senri smiled a small, amused smile. “You’re interesting,” he started. “I think I like you.” Your entire face turned red. Did he just say that he liked you? “But, what about Rima?” you asked. “She’s just a friend,” he said, simply.

He leaned close and placed a chaste kiss on your lips, a light blush appearing on his cheeks now. “Are you still going to the fountain?” he asked, changing the subject.

You snapped out of your daze and nodded. Senri grabbed your hand and led you out into the courtyard soon after.

You’d never thought that you would have a chance Senri Shiki, the coolest guy ever, yet here you were. Maybe this was a dream and you would wake up any moment now and hear the teacher droning on about vampire history, you didn't know and right now, it didn't matter. You were just glad to be one with your one and only true love.
