I did this in response to a Tumblr joke post announcing the features that would be included in Sly 5:
Sanzaru is making Sly 5!!
Here’s what they’ve announced so far
- Carmelita is even thinner! This time you can see her spine! It looks like it just has fur over it.
- Murray gets upset and leaves the team again because he couldn’t walk on a tightrope
- Bentley turns out to be evil! He was evil the whole time!
- Sly is fucking dead

Seriously though, Sanzaru exaggerated way too much on Carmelita's body shape. I sure hope it doesn't get worse in Sly 5 (if it's ever gonna happen)

The "Sly 5 Announcement" was just someone on Tumblr joking around (though I wasn't sure it was fake until I got to the 4th bullet point LOL).
From what I've heard, Sanzaru no longer has anything to do with Sly Cooper and there are no plans for any Dev to make Sly 5. Sly 4 didn't do well in sales and the fan reaction has been very mixed. That combined with the Sly movie being cancelled (and the Ratchet&Clank movie bombing) likely means we wont see a new Sly game for a VERY long time (if ever). And I am totally fine with that.

they should've let the series just die after sly 3. thieves in time was already a big fuck you to the fans as it is. if they ever did make another sly game, I wouldn't waste my time & money with it, unless it was to fix all the problems that thieves in time had or if it was a better thieves in time remake/do over.

I agree that the series didn't need another game after Sly 3. But having the gang time travel to visit (and play as) the ancestors could have been an awesome story in the hands of competent (and non-sexist) writers. But, sadly, that's not what we got.
Personally, if we get another Sly game, I hope Sony washes it's hands of the mess Sanzaru left behind and just does a remake/reboot like the Crash and Spyro games that came out recently. I'd rather see someone put their own, next-gen twist on the original trilogy than try to continue Sanzaru's storyline (which did nothing but spit on the original games by retroactively tarnishing them with that lame twist).
At least if a remake is garbage, the original trilogy's canon isn't tainted by it.

THANK GOODNESS! Sanzaru DESTROYED something I love! I'd be fine with just getting a Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy style remake of the first 3 games if we're not getting any new Sly games.
