This is a colored version of this old sketch .

Since the only thing we know about Sly's parents is that Sly is a dead ringer for his dad, I like to imagine Sly’s mom as being the physical opposite of most other Coopers. So I drew her to be short and chubby and gave her lighter colors. And I drew her as a squirrel because....squirrels are cute (and also because I like to think that Sly gets at least some of his climbing skills from his mother’s side).

I know this drawing is sad. But I like my personal head-canon where Mama Cooper went out fighting to protect her boys
