A monsters from my comic world, "Marble Gate Dungeon".

Lore:
The Arclight Wizards College is a vast and expansive society of mages that are involved in everything from the sciences to politics and world trade. Students and professors at the college live among some of the wealthiest conditions in the world, and have access to resources even kings often couldn't imagine.
While the rules and laws that govern Arclight are extremely strict and restrictive by design, students and professors are also free from much of the morality and ethics of the rest of the world. Experimentation with forbidden magics are a common practice among students, including the creation of new creatures and forms of life. The abominations they create are usually kept a secret, strictly locked away to maintain Arclight's policy of keeping magic, and knowledge of magic, out of the hands of the common folk as much as possible. However, either though incompetence or malice, the creations of Arclight academics will sometimes slip into the larger world.
Named after it's creator, a student named David (who's family name has been censored by the College), David's Handhead is a creature created from a mix of reptile, bird, and human parts. Handheads are violent creatures that, for some reason that was lost when David's work was purged and sealed in the vaults, feel an overwhelming need to kill any creature they sense that's not another Handhead.
Handhead's can run both in packs, and as solitary creatures. They are intelligent enough to use simple tools and weapons, but do not appear intelligent enough to communicate on any sophisticated level. They have no eyes, but have an extremely strong sense of both vibration and echolocation. They are about the size of a common chicken, but much tougher. They do not craft or build anything themselves, but will steal tools such as weapons. They do not seem to eat, but they do breath and drink water through pores in their skin.
Handhead's are an invasive species that cause terrible damage to the surrounding ecosystem they enter. Hunters, soldiers, and mercenaries are often needed to hunt down and destroy their nests when they grow too numerous in a region and can no longer be ignored. Though not terribly difficult to kill, they breed quickly, and are frighteningly tenacious at killing everything in the area surrounding their nests, making them a dreadful problem should said nest form near a town or road.
Handheads have been seen commonly in the Marble Gate Dungeon as well. Dungeoneers in the past have even reported entire floors completely overrun with Handheads, making them totally unnavigable.
