I had mentioned a while ago that I wanted to really start following more of my natural instincts and inclinations with my work. So this is the first piece I decided to really go for it.It's Atomic Robo. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, do yourself the favor. It's a really great read. I think they may want to use it for something down the line, though I'm not exactly certain.

Thanks! I was going for a more traditional illustrative feel with this one, sort of a process/style exploration. I don't know that I'd want to do something like this for everything, but I do think it works for this piece.

Wow, now that is an awesome piece. The only tjing I see is maybe varying the line weights some to create some depth and form but this piece is still super solid and if colored correctly the line weights would not even matter.

Yeah, you know, I go back and forth on the line weights issue. I actually worked to restict the line weights to three different thicknesses. I wanted to see how it worked, and I kind of like it. I don't know. I'm still playing around.

Thanks, man. Maybe one day I'll get around to an Iron Giant piece, but it's going to be way down in the queue. I loved that movie the first couple times I saw it years ago...when it first came out. Then I found out Vin Diesel did his voice...I don't know, that kind of turned me off to it. Ha! Seriously, I'm weird like that, I guess. I don't even dislike Vin Diesel.

hahaha thats funny, especially since you have nothing against Vin. But the movie is great you should revisit it again with a fresh outlook on it and I bet your feelings will change. Its really become a cult classic. Aintitcool.com is trying to get the studio to reboot the movie in 3d which could be balls to walls awesome! heres to that!
