this is my pride and joy! as of now, my favourite picture in my gallery!i spent AS Science and sociology drawing out the lineart, then i started colouring it in Citizenship and finished it at home. ^^
the picture shows two angels who have ventured into hell, but then theyre chased by two devils back to heaven. however, one of them gets caught. Samael and Ashtaroth become a couple.
its to go with a story im writing, which as of yet is untitled, so i cant tell you what its called. i have names for the characters though, and they all feature on this picture.left angel: Samael
right angel: Zadkiel
left devil: Ashtaroth
right devil: Awar
and finally, i promised one of my friends at school i'd dedicate this to her, but she doesnt have a DA account. so, this picture is dedicated to Jasmine! ^^

I really think you did this stunningly! 
The colouring is intense and very appropriate - great choices!
I think you did an amazing job with the outlines of the characters: the devils especially have very well-proportioned and brilliantly drawn!
I also love the way the only face you can see is featureless:

i chose to leave the face featureless, and make it so you couldnt see the others, so that it generalised (sp?)the characters, implying that everyone has the potential to be an angelic or devilish.
the reason i chose to clothe the angels and not the devils is to give the impression of decency, intelligence and modesty in the angels, then not clothing the devils, to symbolise indecency, sensuality, indulgence and a sense of primitivity. i like how you came up with the sarcasm! because though i am a christian, well, catholic christian, i am very much against christianty.

That's the right spelling.
I would've said that's why it's sarcastic: the devils are supposed to symbolize indecency, and thus they are depictued naked, both in this and classical paintings, poetry, stories, etc., whilst the angels are clothed, similarly as they are throughout Christan history. However, during recent times especially, it is clear that people who are unable to deal with life as it really is - the harshness, the unpleasantness, the danger, and yes, even the love of someone who exists in a tangible way - hide behind something they hope will save them (God/the Bible) and cover their nakedness and purity, thus causing all the lies, the deceit and the confusion that Christians generally seem to say they would like to move away from. Baffling, right?

hmm, that is a very interesting theory... i like it! well, actually, its not so much of a theroy really, is it? more of an almost-fact. but yes, very baffling! XD
when i say i am christian, i mean i am technically christian. i was baptised, had first holy communion, was confirmed, have gone to a catholic primary and secondary school, and go to church fairly regularly when my parents make me. basically i've had a typical christian upbringing, actually, moreso than my friends because they dont go to church. though after all of that, i don't actually believe in any of it, and am very much an atheist. if i'm honest, i'll say i don't believe in any religion; i don't feel there is any 'greater power', no one guiding our lives but us, and no after life or judgement. i am very scientifically minded.

I never had such an upbringing and I too am very logical and science-orientated. I'd just say that perhaps there is a religion out there you believe in, you just haven't found it: not all religions believe in a "higher power" or things like that, you know?

hmm, well believe me when i say its not all sunshine and dasies being brought up like this, though im not saying ive not been brought up well, more like it gets a bit tedious at times. maybe there is a religion out there i might believe in, you never know.
